“Angela’s Song” long version now available (UPDATED)

Thanks to YouTube user Alfonso MartzG who shared the long version (2:30) of “Angela’s Song”. The guy does not mention the source but the animated short film was released yesterday on Netflix so…

Rest with me
We’ll be warm and free to dream
Of all the things yet to come
For you my little one

Look up high and see
All the stars above you and me
They shine a light on all the things to come
For you my little one

Stay with me
Forget the cold streets of Limerick city
Let’s drift away and sing our song
And dream on and on

Lay with me
Let us sing a sweet melody
Of all the things yet to come
For you my little one

Look up high and see
All the stars above you and me
They shine a light on all the things to come
For you my little one

Look up high and see
All the stars above you and me
They shine a light on all the things to come
For you my little one

UPDATE – 4:55 PM (UTC)

Source is indeed Netflix. Compared to the RTÉ’s broadcast in 2017, the end credits are now scrolling slowly and we can hear the full version of the song (or more likely, this is the normal speed and RTÉ had deliberately broadcast a speed up version). Anyway this is a Netflix exclusive!

  1. Is there a mp3 file?

Nice different version with violins and interlude. I love it. The sound is a bit weird. Has the guy recorded his speakers while playing netflix or what? Sounds almost like an audience bootleg lol. Anyway thank you man for sharing with us.

Thank you irishsoul for sharing a great quality version. I don’t know what happened recently in the crans community, everybody’s now sharing those shitty remade videos with non sense images like just did Alfonso with his bad quality version here. I mean WTF poor sound and no baggage pics come on, (ok it is nice compared to some others).

Yes agree. Thanks irishsoul for sharing the real deal.

      K. Wow, really? You use the word “community” and then follow it up with
“everybody’s now sharing those shitty remade videos with non sense images like just did Alfonso with his bad quality version here. I mean WTF poor sound and no baggage pics come on, (ok it is nice compared to some others).”

Please share all of the YouTube links to all of concerts, shows and tv performances you’ve uploaded. You realize someone took time and effort to upload that first version of Angela’s Song, right? If Irishsoul hadn’t uploaded the 2nd version, you (and we, the community) wouldn’t have anything, you understand that too? Do you also realize that there are people who have had Cranberries and Dolores videos for 20 years that you and others have never seen and probably never will because they’re selfish and don’t want to share their collection? Do you know that someone took video of a concert over 20 years ago, waited to publish a low grade copy on YouTube the day after Dolores’ death and then advised that they were SELLING a better copy? The day after her death.

When someone takes time and effort to put something out on the internet, I believe the proper response is, “thank you.”

Again, can’t wait for you to post all of the links of video concerts and tv shows that you’ve posted over the years.

Thanks to both Alfonso and Irsh for their contributions.
