Thursday April 25th is a night for all Cranberries fans!
Limerick’s esteemed music store Steamboat Music want to gather all fans to honour the release of The Cranberries final album ‘In The End’ releasing Friday April 26th.

Fans can gain access to the event by pre-ordering the album from www.steamboat.ie and this will guarantee entrance to the event Upstairs in ‘Dolans’ Limericks iconic venue, numbers are limited.
Limericks finest and most iconic band will be honoured through the night, fans will be welcomed into the venue on the night at 9pm to a wealth of great Cranberries tunes, followed by a panel discussion on the bands history and impact this band from a small town has had on the music industry.
Niall Colgan, a close friend of the band will MC the event. The discussion will feature Deci Hogan (The Cranberries Stage Manager), Eoin Devereaux (historian and writer of liner notes on previous Cranberries albums) and Orla Colgan (Dolores O’Riordan’s secondary school music teacher), fans will then get to hear the new album will then be played in full through a top quality sound system prior to its world-wide release on Friday April 26th.
The new album ‘In the End’ is a collection of songs the late Limerick legend Dolores O’Riordan worked on prior to her tragic passing last January. “We knew this had to be one of the, if not the, best Cranberries album that we could possibly do”Noel Hogan, band mate said in a statement. Hogan and O’Riordan started work on the songs in May 2017 and had written and demoed 11 songs by that winter. “I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of Dolores’ passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band,” Eileen O’Riordan, Dolores’ mother, said in January.
About the event, Mark Carey owner of Steamboat Music say “To have an opportunity to host this once in a lifetime event is a real thrill for us. Not only have The Cranberries impacted the lives of so many people world wide, the effect they’ve had on their home town is immeasurable. To have the first listening party here in Limerick is really, really special and it’s an honour to have been approached to take on this event. Any fan of theirs and anyone that is simply a fan of music, this will be a fantastic event.”

On 2 May 2019, An Post (Ireland’s leading supplier of postal services) will release a set of 4 stamps that celebrate 4 iconic and internationally recognized songs, performed by renowned Irish artists. The special collection is called “Great Irish Songs” and feature:
- Dreams – The Cranberries

- On Raglan Road – Luke Kelly
- Danny Boy – John McCormack
Regarding The Cranberries, 3 versions are available: the single stamp (€1.00), a Dreams sheetlet (€16.00) and a collector pack of 4 stamp discs (€17.00), all designed by Amp Visual.
Nice that they’re putting The Cranberries on an Irish stamp, shame they got the lyrics wrong!!!
Thanks to The Cranberries Newspaper for the info!
UPDATE – 5 APRIL
UPDATE – 8 MAY
The set of stamps has been delayed (very likely due to The Cranberries lyrics error) and the new date of issue is tomorrow, 9 May 2019. For the occasion the official “The Collector” (pdf) has been updated and lyrics are now correct!
The set of stamps is valid for both international (U2 + John McCormack) and national (The Cranberries + Luke Kelly) postage, see different face values.
The Cranberries were in Milano today to promote “In The End”. There was a press conference at BMG Italy and the lads were also interviewed by radio station Virgin Radio. Here’s below the first pictures posted on socials, thanks to The Cranberries on Facebook, The Cranberries Newspaper on Facebook, Noel Hogan on Instagram and Alberto Muraro on Instagram.
The band announced yesterday that every upcoming Tuesday, they will be releasing a new series of ‘track by track’ videos where you can hear them explain each track from “In The End” in their own words.
First video was published along with this announcement, where they talk about the latest released song “Wake Me When It’s Over” – Album Track #3
Next exclusive video on Tuesday!
Yesterday was the second promo day in Paris for the band. No public event this time!
Mike and Noel (without Fergal who was giving an interview to another media, see below) went to radio station RTL2 for “Le Drive RTL2”.
Then, still without Fergal, they talked to TV channel France 24. We haven’t yet found out if this video has been broadcast already or not, we’ll keep fans updated on this as soon as we shed light on this.
The Cranberries posted 6 photos both on their Facebook and Instagram accounts:
On his side, Fergal gave an interview to Nicky Beckett for Rock Art Fashion (rockartfashion.net), according to Nicky’s Instagram account. The interview should be published soon.

The Cranberries may have recorded another show when they were at RTL2 yesterday. Radio host Stéphanie Renouvin posted this morning on Instagram a photo with Mike and Noel and, according to the hashtags, the show could be “Pop Rock Story”.
Again, we haven’t yet found out if the show was live broadcast or recorded for a later broadcast.
And last, still on Instagram, a photo posted yesterday by Pierre-Edouard Bellanca, who was the band’s interpreter:
The Cranberries were still in Paris today.
At 6.30pm they appeared on radio station RTL2 on the show “Le Drive RTL2”. Noel and Mike were interviewed during 20 minutes. The radio has live webcams in the studio, you can watch the video replay directly on the RTL2’s Facebook.
They also posted 2 photos on Twitter:
…and one more on Instagram:
The Cranberries are back on their promo tour. It started on Monday 25 in Dublin, on RTÉ Radio 1. No more information has leaked yet.
Today, the band was in Paris and gave interviews to the press, including radio station Europe 1 and TV Channel BFMTV, according to the following pics:
On the evening, they attended a Q&A with lucky winners for YouTubeMusic and Oui FM. 60 or so privileged fans got to listen to 3 new songs (Lost, Illusion, Crazy Heart) in an auditorium located 7 Rue Ballu in Paris.
For obvious reasons, mobile phones, cameras and any other kind of recorders were not allowed, and for now the only images of the event that surfaced were posted on the band’s Facebook as well as Noel and Mike’s Instagram accounts. Let’s note the band was not in the room while the audience was listening to the new songs, they only joined the crowd for the Q&A and answered questions for approximately 30 minutes.
Afterwards, fans were invited to a cold buffet and also had the opportunity to take a picture with the boys in front of a huge “In The End” artwork background. A very nice surprise for sure!
Noel wrote on Instagram, “we will be doing a few more of these in the coming weeks”.
From what we know, London and New York City are on the list.
The event was videotaped and should be broadcast in April on YouTube.
Special thanks to Laurent at BMG France.
