NOTES

  • Winner of the world music award for best selling Irish recording artist.
  • The day the WMA held, The Cranberries were touring North America and couldn’t be in Monaco. They pre-recorded the live performance in another place. Exact location is unknown but it very looks like images recorded during one of their concerts possibly just a few days before. Information needed.
  • “World Music Awards” was an international awards show founded in 1989 under the high patronage of Albert II, Prince of Monaco. Awards were presented to the world’s best-selling artists in the various categories and to the best-selling artists from each major territory. Sales figures were provided by the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). The awards are gold-plated, each depicting an artist holding the world. The ceremony last held in 2014.
  • The show was live or later broadcast on many different TV channels worldwide.
