Mexico City gig cancelled

Both Ticketmaster Mexico and show organizers Ocesa today confirmed that The Cranberries gig scheduled for June 26th in Mexico City has been cancelled.

When asked for comment, Ticketmaster Mexico claimed that the show had been cancelled by Ocesa, the show’s organizers. Ocesa, however, responded that the show had been cancelled by the band themselves.

The date was to follow the still-scheduled June 25th Mexico City date. It is possible that lower-than-expected ticket sales prompted the band’s management to determine that two concerts for Mexico’s capital city were not needed. Meanwhile, the date has been removed from both Ticketmaster Mexico’s website and The Cranberries Official Website. We still await official word on the status of the show.
