• Andy Janes, the photographer who took the above photo of the show, posted the following comment on the Facebook group The Cranberries – International fans, “Nice early gig photo of Noel, Mike and Dolores (Ferg always seems to end up stuck behind something – or Dolores in this case!) at The Tropic Club, Bristol. 7th October, 1992. Seem to remember they didn’t start playing till REALLY late as the tour bus was either delayed or broke down (so they may not even get here at all was the news from the venue!). Touch or go so had to stay of course. Thankfully they arrived but didn’t start playing till maybe 11:30pm (maybe closer to midnight – although can’t remember exactly), by which time most of the audience had left to catch the last trains or gone home to sleep – obviously not real fans! In the end there was probably only 12 people in the audience but they still played – and was a great gig for that very reason!”
