About this section (One-Sheet)

ONE-SHEET (also known as Distributor Sheet, Pre-Release Sheet, Ordering Sheet, Sales Spec Sheet) is a marketing document originally distributed to retail record stores to announce an upcoming release and to solicit pre-orders. Generally one or two sheets (from 1 to 4 pages) summarizing the credentials of the band and describing the promotion and marketing plans developed by the label to help sell the record and convince distributors to carry and get behind the release. These documents were never available to the general public.
