NOTES

  • The Cranberries headlined the venue/stage called “Le Chapiteau”
    Inside this sort of circus tent, the largest one of the festival, only 2 bands played that night, The Cranberries and Skunk Anansie. The other bands of the day (AaRON, Elvett, Bad Parody, The Clive) played smaller stages.
  • The band (including Dolores) had a 30min soundcheck early in the afternoon. Fans queuing outside could hear it. They played 5 or 6 tracks.
  • There was no sound in the venue during the first chords of “Zombie” (the intro part played by Dolores alone) so that people in the audience believed that the song just started when Dolores shouted Zoooommbbiie to announce the song. The band still had sound on stage and didn’t realize.
  • “Zombie” was definitely the highlight of this show with the whole venue singing / dancing / clapping / photographing / recording from everywhere… and curiously one of the very very rare times where the band (?) / Dolores (?) was out of tune!
  • For the first song of the encore The Cranberries chose “Empty” and “Shattered” was not played (see photo of the setlist).
  • On the first notes of the last song of the show (“Dreams”) Dolores threw her beaded hat into the crowd.
  • The setlist was exactly the same as the show before (in Poland) and close to the last ones played by the band on their last shows in 2012.
  • The show was streamed live on the website “20minutes.ch” as well as their mobile app. Some countries (not all) had access to the first 3 or 4 songs before black screen.
