2 Meter Sessions is an independent music platform based in the Netherlands, dedicated to recording high-quality live music sessions with emerging and established artists from around the world. Each month, they film 3 to 4 exclusive studio sessions, focusing on authentic, intimate performances. Over the years, many renowned artists have appeared on 2 Meter Sessions, including James Taylor, Elliott Smith, David Crosby, Damien Jurado, Ben Howard, Josh Ritter, Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive recordings have been featured in documentary films such as “Mystify: Michael Hutchence”, “Heaven Adores You”, and “All I Can Say”. Founded in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske, the show began on national radio before expanding to television in 1993, where it became a widely recognized platform for live music performances.
