One Response to “Sunday” (2026 Stephen Street Stereo Mix)

Is there really anything new in this 2026 reissue of EEIDSWCW’s debut? For example, I don’t see anything different about Stephen Street’s Stereo Mix on ‘Sunday’; if there is anything, it’s a subtle, almost imperceptible difference. If the novelty is the Spanish versions of ‘Linger’, I don’t like it. I think that after the extensive box set they released in 2019, there’s no room for more rarities, unless it’s ‘Gringo’, ‘Hot Dog Needy’, ‘What was the?’, or the untitled version (from that 1993 Kimmerly live album). To me, this is a misstep on the part of the record label’s management. I want to believe that, despite giving the band free rein for endless reissues, they’re unaware of these kinds of operations and marketing tactics that end up being self-destructive. Why do I say this? Because they manage to tire the fans. I miss Dolores, like everyone else since she left, but I don’t have time to miss the Cranberries’ music. Perhaps they should consider releasing reissues of ‘Bury The Hatchet’, ‘Wake Up And Smell The Coffee’, or ‘Roses’ with demo tracks or rarities that were never released. But insisting on not even ‘To The Faithful Departed’ anymore, but even on the first two albums, is unbearable, and paying the same price is practically throwing money away (something most of us millionaires aren’t), with no value other than collecting quadruple copies and consuming and spending.
