To mark the 25th anniversary of “Wake Up And Smell The Coffee” which is coming up in a few days, MCA Records in the US is apparently set to reissue the album on vinyl on 29 January 2027.

Although the news seems to have been published far too early and is currently only available on German website hhv.de (world exclusive!), it all looks pretty legit.

There aren’t many details in the description (in German) at this point, but it looks like there won’t be any bonus tracks, live performances or other extras, just the original album on vinyl (maybe heavy black?) and remastered for the occasion, and therefore different from the version released for Record Store Day in 2023.

To be continued…

UPDATE · 14 OCTOBER

They’ve taken down the WUASTC on HHV, link says page no longer exists.
Definitely published far too early!

For those who understand French, the new episode of the TV series “Invitation au voyage” features four documentaries today, the first of which, lasting 14 minutes, is dedicated to The Cranberries and notably includes an interview with Niall Quinn.

The program will be broadcast tomorrow (9 October) on French/German TV channel ARTE at 9:05 and is already available on their streaming platform arte.tv now and until 6 November 2026.

In celebration of this milestone Fergal, Noel and Mike have made a “thank you” statement posted on The Cranberries Instagram page yesterday… and only on Instagram!
