As for the cover art, it looks very familiar although it’s not exactly the photo expected and mentioned by the band on stage in Mexico last February… maybe it will feature inside booklet!
The Cranberries just updated their profile pic on their Twitter account.
This picture was taken in the lobby of the Moon Palace Arena in Cancún, Mexico on February 11, 2017.
How cool!!
Thanks to Dan Steward on Twitter for noticing.
UPDATE – 3:50 PM (UTC)
The band now updated all their profiles everywhere, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook.
Even the official website.
Here is their new Facebook banner:
Facebook user Victor M Gonzalez Becerra shared a great behind the scenes picture from the photo shoot (Feb.11, 2017) at Moon Palace Arena in Cancún:
UPDATE – 9 MARCH
The French website Stars Are Underground published today an article to promote the new album and the French concerts. The interesting part features an exclusive new picture of The Cranberries on the sofa. Unfortunately the photo is rather low quality:
On Twitter a famous French radio host named Georges Lang posted the same picture with a wider view and better quality 🙂
There were rumors band would play at Firenze this summer… this is now officially confirmed!
Festival Firenze Rocks just announced on their website that The Cranberries would join Eddie Vedder to headline the festival on June 24th
The suspens is over!!!
Since The Cranberries had announced summer festivals dates, some fans were wondering whether these performances would be acoustic with the string quartet, like the indoor tour announced for May & June 2017, or if they would be regular “electric” shows.
The Cranberries World team contacted festivals Trollrock (July 29th), Marbella (August 5th) and Landerneau (August 11th) to shade light on this, and Trollrock has just answered to confirm the band will be giving an ELECTRIC SHOW in Norway on July 29th.
We’re still awaiting feedbacks from Marbella & Landerneau, though it now makes almost no doubt that these summer festivals won’t be acoustic shows.
Only their performance on May 1st in Wrocław remains a mystery as it’s taking place in an indoor venue and just one day before the beginning of the acoustic tour in Berlin…
We’ll let you know as soon as we hear back from other festivals, Poland included.
Last but not least, thanks to Atle, from Trollrock, for this information.
UPDATE#1 (Feb.21): LANDERNEAU answered us to confirm the band will be giving an ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE at their festival tooon August 11th!
A major THANK YOU to Carol, from Landerneau.
UPDATE#2 (still Feb.21):
Same for the FOUR ITALIAN SHOWS in Piazzola sul Brenta, Firenze, Roma and Cattolica.
Livenation Italia just confirmed these performances will be electric.
A major THANK YOU to Andrea, from Live Nation Italia.
We’re now awaiting feedbacks from Marbella (Spain), Wrocław (Poland), Cantanhede (Portugal).
February 17, 2017 | Comments Off on Some new summer European shows for The Cranberries | by Camille | The Cranberries
Seems like the summer will be very intense for the band as some more dates are being added every week on The Cranberries summer 2017 tour:
Yesterday, the band announced they will be playing Guitar Guinness Record (Thanks Jimi Festival!) in Wrocław, Poland on May 1st, as you can see on this link.
A new date was just confirmed this morning at Expofacic Festival in Cantanhede, Portugal on August 3rd.
Just like Marbella (Spain), Landerneau (France) and Trollrock (Norway), none of these festivals are mentioning a string quartet. It is thus yet unclear whether these performances will be performed acoustically or not, though we can note the concert on May 1st is taking place indoor.
Our team is trying to get in touch with these festivals to shade light on this.
February 11, 2017 | Comments Off on BREAKING NEWS: “Why” is the new The Cranberries single! (well, probably) | by Jury | The Cranberries
Yesterday The Cranberries did a press conference before their first show in Cancún, Mexico. During that press conference, Dolores O’Riordan revealed interesting information!
According to Dolores, the first single from the upcoming acoustic album is going to be called “Why“, and The Cranberries are going to film the video for “Why” in Europe!
So… for many years we had “How”… and now we’ll have “Why”! 😉
IMPORTANT NOTE: the sound quality of press conference video is quite poor, so it’s possible that Dolores’ words were misheard.
Dolores also mentioned that the new photoshoot the Cranberries did in Mexico is going to be used for the album’s sleeve (it’s something we’ve already reported before here).
February 11, 2017 | Comments Off on The Cranberries European acoustic tour: update on ticket sales | by Camille | The Cranberries

During the first show in Cancún tonight Dolores announced before the last song (Dreams) that the band did a photo shoot yesterday, Thursday February 9th in Puerto Morelos, and the picture will be used for the cover of the next album. It is unclear whether this picture will be used as the cover of the greatest hits album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra or the completely new one that is expected afterwards?
Amazing fact, earlier today, an amateur photo of this photo shoot appeared on the internet. Facebook user Cesar Enrique Vera, the guy who took it randomly, didn’t know what was at stake when he captured this moment, he was just there at the right place, at the right time. Masterpiece!
Listen to Dolores’ speech starting at 07:12 on the video below recorded by Cranberries Mexico
UPDATE Feb.11:
Cranberries Mexico was lucky enough to talk about the photo shoot with Fergal, who mentioned that the picture was taken by none other than Andy Earl (who’s very famous in The Cranberries world in case you don’t know) and that they’re not sure whether the photo will be the cover or not, though it should definitely be part of the artwork.
The Cranberries are about to take the stage in Cancún, Mexico
2 days ago they rehearsed for the show:
and yesterday they had a photo shoot in Puerto Morelos.
A non professional and behind the scenes photo surfaced today posted by Cesar Enrique Vera on his Facebook account who just was at the right place on the right time:
Around 6:30/ 7:00 PM today (local time) the band did a press conference:
and before that (or just after? unclear!), there was a Meet and Greet with a few lucky fans who won the official meet and greet contest:
Now time for the show, fans just entered the venue and the first pictures inside are appearing:
Remember it is a dinner-concert around tables and everyone seated! Quite weird!
Our friends at Cranberries Mexico will try to video broadcast live on CranMex YouTube starting hopefully very soon.
Tonight’s menu:
Will you succeed to read tonight’s setlist?

Zombie. Encore: You and Me (it seems that Empty as seen on the setlist was skipped)…
10:15 PM
Promises, Dreams. Outro (Exodus by Bob Marley) END OF SHOW total length 75 minutes BREAKING NEWS: before the last song Dolores announced that the band did a photo shoot yesterday and it will be the cover of the next album.
Not a surprise for this one, The Cranberries will play festival “Fête du Bruit dans Landerneau” in Landerneau, France on August 11, 2017.
As you may remember, The Cranberries had to cancel their show last year and the promoter wanted to have them back.
This show deserves a separate news mostly because tickets are not sold through the French promoter’s website (yet?) and is not presented as an acoustic performance like the May/June tour. The artwork does not include any violin. Same thing for the very first show that appeared online last week in Marbella, Spain: it is unclear whether or not these shows are part of the acoustic tour, but we have reasons to think they are not.
So… what’s your opinion? Do you believe these 2 shows are gonna be acoustic with the string quartet or electric ones?

Here is the artwork for the Paris shows:
We all were expecting this, it’s finally confirmed!
The Cranberries will be touring Europe this summer following the release of their “Greatest Hits” album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, due late April, early May 2017.
Festival Starlite, in Marbella (Spain) indeed confirmed a moment ago that the band will be playing on August 5th. Tickets are already on sale, price range varies from €34.10 to €223.96
Marbella’s venue:
It is unclear, when reading festival statement, whether or not the band will be touring with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, although they’re emphasizing the quality of the sound on festival site, which could mean there might be chords on stage (?)
Chances are quite high we should soon hear from festival Fête du Bruit in Landerneau (France) where The Cranberries canceled their performance last summer. The festival mentioned several times they would be very happy to welcome them for their 2017 edition, and had already started discussing with their agent this autumn.
According to an article appeared this morning on The Business Post, Carmel Coyne, the flight attendant whose foot got injured during the Aer Lingus 2014 incident, has started a legal action against Dolores. High Court proceedings were filed last Wednesday and, according to the Business Post, Aer Lingus is listed as defendant as well.
We wait to get more information regarding the matter.
Quite a cool news this morning as the band announced on their socials that today is the last day of recording of their new album.
As you may know, the band confirmed in an interview given in Peru that they would release an acoustic “greatest hits” album of their songs re-recorded with the Irish Chamber Orchestra this year. Let’s note this one should include three completely new songs.
Although they also mentioned in this interview that they would then work on a new album, there’s no doubt the one they’re about to finish to record today is the “best of” album.
Indeed, although our team did not mention it earlier as we do not like to share content from the band’s private socials (we apologize in advance for doing so today), Noel Hogan recently posted a picture on his Instagram account with the words “New parts” on which we can see an acoustic guitar and a couple of songs on a sheet of paper: Dreams, Pretty, Fire & Soul, Electric Blue and Shattered.
It’s quite cool to see that Electric Blue should be part of the album as the song is among the 15 tracks fans let us know they’d like to hear with a new Irish Chamber Orchestra arrangement when we asked them in a poll what would be the tracks they’d like the band to re-record on this occasion.
You can see this poll result on this page.
EDIT 1:35 PM (UTC):
2 photos in studio have just been posted on The Cranberries Instagram account: “Last day of Band recording”
UPDATE JAN.05:
New pic today on The Cranberries Instagram entitled “String session” and located at Cauldron Studios.
And on Twitter Noel Hogan added the following words: “After a quiet few weeks on here I am back to work. Strings today for the new Cranberries album. Last day of recording on this album.”

The show is now over, the band played approximately 1h20. As announced earlier Olé Koretsky indeed did replace Dolores on guitar. What a great surprise.
December 17, 2016 | Comments Off on Is Olé Koretsky going to perform with The Cranberries tonight? | by Camille | The Cranberries
This is the day for Peruvian fans!
The Cranberries are about to take the stage of VIVO X EL ROCK tonight.
The big question is: Could Olé be a new additional guitarist on the show?
Indeed, as you may have noticed on yesterday’s soundcheck pictures, Olé could be seen with Dolores’ Free To Decide guitar (?) behind Noel, next to Johanna.
This wouldn’t be too surprising as the last 4 shows of The Cranberries -Landerneau FR and the three Cancun MX- had to be cancelled due to Dolores’ back problems.
Olé could thus be replacing Dolores on guitar on songs such as Free To Decide, Zombie, I Can’t Be With You, Dreaming My Dreams, Promises…
Tonight’s concert will tell!
Cranberries World team will try to cover the show live with pics and videos found on the internet.
The Cranberries will play tomorrow in Lima and to say the least, they’ve gotten very busy days. A lot of new things appeared today on the internet. Still a lot of pictures posted by the fans, the band doing soundcheck this afternoon on festival site and a new photoshoot by the official photographer of the festival. Dolores also tweeted a photo taken from her balcony, nice view on fans waiting for her downstairs. 2 new interviews with Noel and Fergal from yesterday have also been published… and the day is not completely over in Lima!
In this interview Noel and Fergal are talking about the Vivo El Rock festival -Fergal would like to see Garbage- the setlist being a mix of everything a sort of a best-of, the touring process much more balanced now than in the past, the music industry these days, Brexit and the busy year ahead with new album and new tour starting in Europe for the beginning of the year and after that possibly South America
The second new interview was published on ElComercio.pe but it’s all translated in Spanish and we can’t even hear the voices of Noel and Fergal. No idea what they are talking about!
December 15, 2016 | Comments Off on New pics of The Cranberries with fans in Perú (UPDATED 3x) | by Axl | The Cranberries
Perú, Perú, Perú… this is definitely your time!
Today The Cranberries -all of them- met fans at Hotel y Casino Los Delfines in Lima. A lot of photos and signings were done. Here’s a few of them… possibly more to come later.
A lot more pictures with fans yesterday Dec.15 -this time not from the meet & greet- were shared on Facebook by David Elieser Alvarez (click on each photo for larger view), also to credit alfonsorley Instagram and Gonzo Garcia Facebook.
Noel & Fergal gave interviews this morning at Hotel Los Delfines San Isidro and 2 pictures have been published on The Cranberries Instagram account:

In this interview, the guys talk about how it is to play festival with other bands on the bill, their setlist for Saturday’s show, audiences that don’t speak English: “…audiences that don’t speak English have never been an issue… a good song has its own translation…”.
They also explain the importance of a producer when making a record and… MENTION THE NEW ALBUM-(!!!) : “We have almost finished recording a new album, it’s a kind of reworking of some of our older songs with acoustic kind of style, and working with a quartet from the Irish Chamber Orchestra. And there’s 3 new songs, completely new, as well as some other songs like Linger and Dreams. That’s gonna be released next year in May I think”
Fergal then says they’re “gonna be doing some touring with that”and are also “writing for a new album, a completely new album after that one“.
SO EXCITING!

December 14, 2016 | Comments Off on The Cranberries rehearsing in Lima today | by Axl | The Cranberries
The first pictures of the boys in Lima were posted by The Cranberries on their Instagram account just a few minutes ago. The band was rehearsing today at La Fabrika Records for the upcoming show next Saturday at Festival Vivo El Rock 8.
Johanna (back vocals) posted on her Instagram story a very short video (or rather just a photo effect) recorded during this first rehearsal day. The Cranberries Brasil made a screen capture:
The first pictures of Dolores and Olé Koretsky arriving in Perú today were published on elcomercio.pe
Last Saturday, December 10, Noel Hogan posted on twitter: “Back on the road for one last show this year. Playing Peru this time next week, one quick stop in NYC on the way.”
And 2 days later he posted another short message:“Off I go” with a picture of a flight map London-New York
December 11, 2016 | Comments Off on “No Need To Argue” colored vinyl reissue: 2 versions (UPDATED) | by Camille | The Cranberries
It seems like there is an unexpected new item on sale on Runt.com
As you know they announced they would sell some NNTA “cranberry colored vinyl” limited editon starting from September 2016, though two fans recently noticed that they were actually selling one “cranberry” color and one “plum red” color.
The below pictures show the difference between the two:
Thank you to Andrea and Dominestar for noticing.
UPDATE DEC.23:
Some members of our team received their “Cranberry Red” and “Plum Red” colored LP’s.
How to recognize them? Easy, you can’t make any mistake. First they have a different catalog number: PLA 2021 for Cranberry and PLA 2022 for Plum. Secondly, they have different stickers on their cover and the Cranberry sticker is always located on the top center whereas the Plum one is always on the top left. Here below close-up photos.
Do not read below if you don’t wanna be spoiled as this is possibly the setlist for the next Cranberries show in Lima, Peru. The source comes from Johanna (back vocals) who posted on her Instagram (Story) account a short video filmed during the Cranberries rehearsals yesterday at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio in Limerick. At the very end of the video appears the setlist and The Cranberries Brasil did a screen capture below, so thanks to them for noticing!
For those who don’t necessarily follow The Cranberries on social medias everyday, you have to know that the whole band -including Dolores- has been rehearsing in Limerick for over a week now for the upcoming show in Peru next month. You can find a few pictures of these rehearsals on The Cranberries Instagram account.
Setlist off Johanna’s video:

Well, this is not really a proper spoil as this is the same set as the European shows this summer. Fans in Peru probably won’t be disappointed as they haven’t seen the band live for almost 7 years. Remember that The Cranberries didn’t visit the South American continent with their Roses Tour and the last time the band played in Lima was during the Reunion Tour in February 2010. This setlist will probably look fresh for all the fans over there.

This Sunday Noel Hogan posted on Twitter: “First day of Cranberries rehearsal tomorrow. Peru show coming up.” And today the first photo of the rehearsals appeared on the band’s Instagram and fans discovered Mike, Dolores and crew members inside the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio located at Limerick University in Limerick, Ireland. The band already rehearsed in that studio before (for previous concerts) and even recorded there the next Cranberries album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
UPDATE – 23 NOVEMBER
Another photo of the rehearsals at Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio published today still on The Cranberries Instagram. After Mike and Dolores yesterday, now Noel and Murt (Crew member).
UPDATE – 25 NOVEMBER
Another photo into the ICO Studio with Mike and Fergal “Listening back to new tracks” posted on The Cranberries Instagram. Yes new tracks… good news!!
It all started a few days ago, on October 7th, when Noel Hogan twitted “So here’s what happening early next week. Dolores & I are up for an award” with a close-up photo of the possible invitation (?) received. What a great and unexpected news!
Earlier today Noel posted a route map of his flight from Shannon (IRL) to London (UK) with the following note “BMI awards tonight.” Good news: Noel will be attending the ceremony, though no sign of Dolores yet!
The BMI London Awards is a music industry ceremony which honors the UK/European songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-played BMI songs on American radio and television. This year the ceremony is held at the Dorchester Hotel in London where Sting is to be named BMI Icon in recognition of his award-winning career and influence on popular music for more than four decades.
At this point we had no details regarding the Cranberries prize.
Later in the evening the first photos appeared on the internet and fans discovered a very handsome Noel Hogan in a suit and a BMI medal on his chest, proving that Dolores would not show up at the event.
Following the ceremony, Noel published a photo of the BMI’s plaque he received “in recognition of the great national popularity as measured by over 3 million broadcast performances attained by DREAMS“.
Noel wrote: “So I got this. 3 million plays on US radio 🙂 “
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CRANBERRIES!!!
UPDATE – October 15

Noel also gave a short audio interview to audioBoom.com on influence of Sting/The Police.
The box set is quite flat, like a single CD and contains the first 5 albums of the band in their classic versions and not “The Complete Sessions” (as far as the first 4 albums are concerned). All is thin cardboard made, the box itself and the 5 album sleeves inside. Only the CD’s got a new and different artwork. No booklet nor lyrics here.
[EDIT:]
One of our readers Ricardo, thanks to him, noticed a big mistake concerning the album “Wake Up”.
Indeed the back cover of the album inside is announcing 16 tracks (13 + 3 bonus tracks) when the back cover of the box set is announcing only 13.
“Wake Up” would be the only album with bonus tracks? How weird!
The only solution to know the truth was to check the CD itself… and unfortunately there’s no B-sides nor hidden tracks. Only the 13 classic tracks and the CD ends with “Chocolate Brown”.
This is definitely the 5 classic albums!
The Cranberries will play Festival Vivo X El Rock 8 in Lima Perú next December 17th as already announced (and then 99% confirmed and 100% spoiled!) by the band Papa Roach on their Instagram account about a month ago. Tonight the festival published the whole line-up on their Facebook so now it’s 100% confirmed and official. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 14.

Title says it all.
After 9 months of patience cranberries.com is finally launched!
The band just announced it a couple of hours ago today on all their social medias.
Three things to notice:
1. The image on the homepage features green and orange stripes (color of the Irish flag)
Could that be a preview of the artwork of the band’s upcoming album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra?
2. Gallery has a lot of new pictures.
3. Biography reveals “2017 promises to be a very, very special year for The Cranberries in terms of touring and recording.”
For those who were expecting nothing more to happen for The Cranberries or D.A.R.K. late 2016 following all the concerts and tour cancellations, you were wrong! Dolores O’Riordan Spain, just found out a great new clue which (almost) comes as an official confirmation that The Cranberries will indeed play in Lima, Perú on December 17, 2016 at Festival Vivo X El Rock 8 in just 3 months from now!
Indeed, the rock band Papa Roach just published on their Instagram account the festival line-up featuring The Cranberries. What was a possible mistake published by Bandsintown a few days ago turns out to be a spoiler.
Will there be more South/North American dates to come? What about the D.A.R.K. shows Andy Rourke was hoping to add in North America?
Time will tell…
Although it might seem out of the blue, it looks like Universal Music is about to (rerere)release almost all The Cranberries albums/sessions (?) on October 7th, 2016…
Indeed, the below item has just appeared on different websites such as Amazon or eBay under the name “5 Classic Albums”.
The box set should contain five CDs although Amazon states there is “one disc” inside.
Indeed, if you search for the Universal 5 Classic Albums collection on the Internet, you’ll find box sets for different artists such as Status Quo, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many others, that all include five discs.
We can thus imagine the box set features the band’s first five albums Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We, No Need To Argue, To The Faithful Departed, Bury The Hatchet and Wake Up And Smell The Coffee.
This is only an assumption, but what’s for sure is that the cover of the box set looks just GREAT !
Can we trust Bandsintown?
As some fans have noticed already, a new date appeared on The Cranberries official Facebook “Tour” section last night: it thus seems the band is to play festival “Vivo x El Rock” in Lima, Perú on December 17th.
However, let’s note that this date was not officially confirmed by the band nor the festival yet, and that Bandsintown sometimes announces wrong dates due to some keywords misunderstandings.
According to media Peru21.pe and LaRepublica.pe, Papa Roach, Garbage and Simple Plan are already confirmed on this edition’s lineup.
Let’s thus hope for South American fans that this is going to happen, and that some more dates will be announced around this time on the continent.
We’ll keep you updated on this as soon as we have some more news.
EDIT 9:30 am GMT: It seems the date was just taken down from Bandsintown… was that just another keyword mistake or was the official statement spoiled?
Vote is now over and here’s the interesting result of the poll that received a little more than 100 votes :
First surprise comes from the song who got the highest number of votes, you’d think it would be Zombie, Linger or Ode to My Family but it’s not: DAFFODIL LAMENT is the one track fans really want to see on this album, followed by three hits: Zombie, Dreams and Ode to My Family.
Only one song from the band’s last album Roses made it through the first 15 songs: Conduct, which ends up in the excellent fifth position, followed by the classics Promises, Linger, Ridiculous Thoughts, When You’re Gone and Animal Instinct.
Much to our delight, the eleventh position is held by So Cold In Ireland which we really hope the band will not forget to include on the album.
Apart from Shattered, in twelfth position, the following songs chosen by fans are all issued from first three albums: Put Me Down, Empty, Electric Blue and Twenty One all received 30 votes.
So if the album was to feature 15 songs or so, here’s what hardcore fans would like it to sound like:
GREATEST HITS ALBUM IDEAL TRACKLIST WITH THE ICO
Daffodil Lament
Zombie
Dreams
Ode To My Family
Conduct
Promises
Linger
Ridiculous Thoughts
When You’re Gone
Animal Instinct
So Cold In Ireland
Shattered
Put Me Down
Empty
Electric Blue
Twenty One
Pushing the experience a little further to see what a 20 tracks or so setlist would look like if the band was to perform their greatest hits live with the Irish Chamber Orchestra:
Songs in 17th, 18th and 19th position turn out to be the very awesome Dreaming My Dreams, Hollywood and No Need to Argue.
20th position is held by three tracks that received 23 votes: Astral Projections, Not Sorry and Sunday
To sum up, here’s what a Greatest Hits live with the Irish Chamber Orchestra 22 tracks setlist would ideally look like for fans:
GREATEST HITS LIVE IDEAL SETLIST WITH THE ICO
Daffodil Lament
Zombie
Dreams
Ode To My Family
Conduct
Promises
Linger
Ridiculous Thoughts
When You’re Gone
Animal Instinct
So Cold In Ireland
Shattered
Put Me Down
Empty
Electric Blue
Twenty One
Dreaming My Dreams
Hollywood
No Need To Argue
Astral Projections
Not Sorry
Sunday
Fans may note that no song from Wake Up And Smell The Coffee ended up in the 20-or-so tracks chosen by the fans, whereas this top includes:
– 9 songs from the No Need to Argue era
– 5 songs from Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We
– 3 songs from To The Faithfull Departed
– 3 songs from Bury The Hatchet
– 2 songs from Roses
Let’s remember fans did not pick their favorite songs here but those they would most like to hear with a new orchestra arrangement. Apart from the biggest hits, slow songs were clearly privileged – which is not too much of a surprise.
Following the cancellation of The Cranberries concert in Landerneau, France, due to Dolores’ back problem which prevented her to perform, Palace Resorts just confirmed a moment ago that the Mexican dates due to take place August 26, 27 and 28 will be rescheduled to February 10, 11 & 12 2017
UPDATE THE CRANBERRIES: Due to circumstances of force majeure, Palace Resorts regrettably confirms three upcoming performances by The Cranberries scheduled to take place at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun on August 26, 27 and 28, 2016, have been rescheduled. The unexpected announcement is due to the unfortunate medical condition of an injury affecting Dolores O’Riordan, the band’s lead singer.
After several weeks of experiencing severe back pain caused by a bulging disc; sore and limited relief from medications prevented Dolores to go on stage, and the band was forced to cancel their last concert in France. “By now she’s simply not well enough and in too much pain to be able to perform”; said Dr. Masterson of Limerick University.
Regaining her health and ability to perform has been a priority for Dolores in the last few days. Unfortunately, the severe pain and swelling have not allowed her to recover and Dolores has been prescribed with complete rest.
Performances from The Cranberries at Moon Palace Arena will now take place on February 10, 11 and 12, 2017.
Guests who had already reserved tickets through our telemarketing or concierge staff for the shows may contact their assigned agent before September 23, 2016 to confirm their seats for the new dates. After this date, reservations will be forfeit.
For those who purchased tickets for these performances, please see detailed information below regarding new performances on February 10, 11 and 12th, 2017 at Moon Palace Arena:
• If your ticket was for the Friday, August 26, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Friday, February 10, 2017 concert.
• If your ticket was for the Saturday, August 27, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Saturday, February 11, 2017concert.
• If your ticket was for the Sunday, August 28, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Sunday, February 12, 2017 concert.
If you cannot be present for the new dates, you can request a full refund as of Wednesday, August 24, 2016, and until Friday, September 23, 2016.
• If you bought your ticket at an authorized Ticketmaster retail location (e.g. Liverpool, Librerías Gandhi, Farmacias del Ahorro, etc.), please go to the retail location directly.
• If you bought your ticket at www.ticketmaster.com.mx or via phone, please call (01) 55 53 25 9000.
• If you bought your ticket at Palace Resorts box offices, please head to the location where the ticket was purchased.
We sincerely apologize for this unavoidable inconvenience and disappointment and send our best wishes to Dolores O’Riordan so she may recover fully. We also thank the fans and followers of The Cranberries for your understanding and solidarity.
First we’d like to apologize for this late review, travelling on the road from Colmar to Landerneau (something like 1,100km) within a night was rather exhausting for our team members, but here’s all you’ve got to know about The Cranberries last 2 shows of the European summer tour 2016.
The band arrived in the afternoon in Colmar, France in a private flight. Cool to note that the plane landed right behind the venue on a small aerodrome. Noel published some cool pics on his Tumblr account:
One more on Olé Koretsky Instagram:
As soon as they reached the venue, fans were made aware that Dolores was unwell that night through a message on her twitter account:
arrived in Colmar France with @The_Cranberries. bulging disk in my back is hurting me big time so please bear with me tonight. Love Dolores
Here’s a small video of the soundcheck filmed by Noel and posted on the band’s Instagram account:
Noel & Fergal then gave a 10 minutes press conference which you can watch online on the below links where they explain why France is a major territory in their career, how they’re getting better with social medias, how touring has become much more relax than it used to be for them at the beginning of their career, what kind of setlist they play live…etc
They also come back on their 2010 performance at this very same festival where the concert had to be interrupted by a power cut and reassure journalists that Dolores is doing well but isn’t a big fan of interviews, just like Mike, hence the fact they’re not attending the conference.
The Cranberries en conférence de presse. On vous fait la traduction !
As far as the concert is concerned, the band delivered an excellent performance, especially Dolores who impressively managed to do an excellent job although she was clearly having a hard time. She took time to tell the crowd, in French, that she had back problems and would do her best to sing perfectly as she wouldn’t be able to dance much.
Highlights of the show probably were Dolores small “uh uh” impro at the end of Ridiculous Thoughts (which you can watch on the video we filmed on the giant screen below) and the always so intense Zombie she dedicated to “all the families of the people who were hurt at the hands of terrorism in France”.
The setlist was quite the same as the other European shows this year:
Professional photos and videos can be found on the following websites (click the different links):
Dolores received epidural injections which turned out not to be efficient enough to enable her to perform on the following day. Indeed, when she reached Landerneau she was advised not to perform and was medically evacuated to an Irish hospital.
If most of the fans showed lots of sympathy towards Dolores, the “fête du bruit” festival deserves a major red card as they did not inform the crowd of the cancellation before 9pm, that is to say 15 minutes after the band should have taken the stage, whereas the band had already made it official via a message on their Facebook account 3 hours earlier!
Unfortunately we have to cancel tonight’s performance at the Fete du Bruit in Landerneau, France due to Dolores having a very painful back problem caused by a bulging disc.
We arrived at the venue here today for the show but unfortunately Dolores is simply not well enough and in too much pain to perform.
She managed to do last nights show in Colmar but after the performance she was in great pain, which did not improve and forced today’s cancellations.
Sincere apologies to all those who came to see us tonight.
We hope to come back and see all of our fans in France again soon!
Quite a shame especially when you know that the Internet network was barely working on site, which led most of the fans to keep waiting for the band until 9pm with no clue they would not perform…
As you can see -if you speak French- on the below video we filmed, the festival organisers stated they are willing the reschedule this performance of The Cranberries for an upcoming edition.
Let’s hope the line up will be more coherent if this is to happen again cause we can tell you we had to endure some of the worst artist (?!) performances we were given to see in our lives…
To this point, we still don’t know if Dolores is expected to stay in hospital for a couple of days or for a longer time. No announcement re the upcoming Mexican shows due to take place on August 26, 27, 28 has been made yet but they might be compromised (?)
Let’s hope Dolores gets better soon, especially as the European D.A.R.K. tour is to start in exactly a month.
August 6, 2016 | Comments Off on “All Things Considered/Why Music Matters” old interview with Dolores | by Axl | Dolores O'Riordan, The Cranberries
One of our readers just sent us a link of an old and rare interview with Dolores O’Riordan recorded in 2012 a few months after the death of her father.
Broadcast on the US radio NPR, the music program is called “All Things Considered”.
They launched a new series called “Why Music Matters: stories from fans in their own words about how music has changed their lives”.
Nathan Hotchkiss
In this episode you can listen to the story of Nathan Hotchkiss explaining how The Cranberries music helped him coming to terms with his identity. For sure a nice moment to be shared and there’s a happy surprise at the end of the 8min audio clip as he had the chance to exchange a few words with Dolores herself who seems to be touched by his story.
Download and/or listen to the show by clicking this link.
Thanks to Lionel for the information!
Note: NPR might sound familiar to fans as the radio also recorded a Cranberries promo performance in 2012 for “All Songs Considered/Tiny Desk Concert”. Unclear whether this was recorded the same day or not.
Since Dolores confirmed in an interview given to music magazine “Classic Pop” that a “Greatest Hits” album of The Cranberries was due to be recorded with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, we’re curious to know which are the tracks fans would like to hear with a new orchestra arrangement.
Let us see what this Greatest Hits album would ideally looks like for the Crans community!

And to help you, here’s an enticing preview of what this album could sound like with an extract from Dolores solo performance featuring the Irish Chamber Orchestra at the Limerick City of Culture New Year’s Eve performance, 2013:
The English magazine “Classic Pop” published in their current August/September issue a brand new interview with D.A.R.K., the first one featuring Dolores.
Even if this interview is totally focused on D.A.R.K., one part retains the reader’s attention more than the others as “Classic Pop” is the very first media to officially confirm what Cranberries World team member Jury exposed/guessed a few months ago:
THE CRANBERRIES ARE/WERE RECORDING AN ALBUM WITH THE IRISH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA.
DOLORES: (…) at the time I felt like it (Roses) was going to be the last album, but the years go by, things happen in your life and you end up together.
A cranberries ‘greatest hits’ album is due to be recorded soon with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and that project co-exists with the debut album by D.A.R.K.
Dolores and the boys probably had not recorded anything when this interview was done, and to this day it is unclear whether the lads totally finished all their tracks/parts nor if Dolores even started recording hers. Anyway, this is definitely good news for all The Cranberries fans.
The rest of the interview, the main part, is still very interesting as it’s the very first time we get to read Dolores’ point of view about D.A.R.K.’s project:
DOLORES: It’s a very different way of working to how The Cranberries operate (…) This project is completely different than anything else I have worked on and I’d have to call it unique. It wasn’t contrived in any way. It just kinda happened and became the sound that it was.
OLE KORETSKY: Apart from the Seventies wannabee purists, 90% of bands these days are using programs. Everybody is playing to a click track! The Cranberries are one of the bands who don’t do that. Them, AC/DC, and The Rolling Stones are just rocking out! It’s a very different vibe.
Dolores also talks about the tough days, the time she spent in a psychiatric hospital, the help received from doctors and family and the fact she is feeling better now. Some parts of “Science Agrees” were recorded during this turmoil. Working on D.A.R.K.’s songs was a sort of therapy.
“DOLORES: I was manic when I was recording Gunfight”.
BREAKING NEWS: Due to popular demand. We’ve added an extra performance date for The Cranberries Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort! Originally scheduled to perform on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, The Cranberries will also entertain guests on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Tickets to the concert range from $129-$249 from the Gold to the VIP section. Guests can utilize the Resort Credit towards the purchase of tickets.
As promised by The Cranberries on their Facebook page last July 8th, the new merchandise sold on their current “Summer Tour 2016” is now also available online: 2 T-Shirts and a Hoodie. (£20 and £40)
The band just posted the link on their Facebook today as well as Noel on his Twitter. Click here

The Cranberries will play at Festival Cognac Blues Passions in Cognac, France tonight!
CranberriesWorld team will attend this show tonight and we’ll try to keep you updated. Please check out our social networks accounts for more instant updates from Festival Cognac Blues Passions:

The “Summer Tour 2016” continues, this time in France near Nantes headlining festival “La Nuit de l’Erdre” in front of 17,000 fans. This was the 4th concert of this short tour and it was sold out once again.
The band just had a 3-week-break. Dolores and Johanna were arriving from the USA.
Johanna wrote on Twitter: “Jet lag in a hotel in France”
See Mike resting on his bed a few hours before the show as published on the band’s instagram.
Perfectly on time (10:40 PM) and right when the other band playing the second stage finished their set, The Cranberries entered the main stage playing Analyse without intro. Not even 30 seconds between the 2 bands! This suddenness surprised everyone in the audience… especially when there’s no musical intro!
There was a few sound problems during the show. A possible contact failure on Noel’s Guitar (?)
The setlist was the same as the other 3 European shows minus 2 songs, Loud And Clear and Desperate Andy. The show was shorter than expected, about 1h15 instead of 1h30. Hard to explain why as there was no curfew and the band was officially announced for a 1H30-show. As usual most of the crowd didn’t know/understand that Dreams was the last song and was expecting a second encore, especially as 15 minutes left. Plus The Cranberries not coming back to salute properly at the end of the show (as they always do 🙁 ) let a “we want more” feeling in the air.
Setlist, The Cranberries, La Nuit de l’Erdre (July 1, 2016):
01. Analyse
02. Animal Instinct
03. Wanted
04. Linger
05. When You’re Gone
06. Dreaming My Dreams
07. Just My Imagination
08. Ode To My Family
09. Free To Decide
10. I Can’t Be With You

The CW team instagramed a few photos that day and tried to periscope a few things and the first 2 songs of the show. Sorry internet 3G was really poor on the site and the quality kinda sucks.
Nothing we can do about that.
Anyway here’s our HD video of Conduct recorded from the front row!

June 20, 2016 | Comments Off on A new Cranberries album: “I wouldn’t say soon!” | by Axl | The Cranberries
Here comes another interview of The Cranberries given at Festi’Neuch in Switzerland.
This time, Fergal and Noel answered questions for a local radio called RTN.
Among a few questions about playing festivals, past hiatus or their families, a question (and an answer actually!!) about the next Cranberries album retains attention:
RTN: Is there a chance for us to have a new Cranberries album anytime soon?
Noel: Humm, yeah we’ve been talking about it, we’ve got to write this first… So I wouldn’t say soon… But hopefully we will start getting down to it as we kinda get more into the gigs.
Listen to the whole RTN interview (6min long) by clicking this link. Thanks once more to DO’RSpain for finding this.
On June 10th, the interviewer Jonathan Grossenbacher posted on his Twitter account a photo of that moment with a few words addressed to Noel: “Thanks for this amazing moment!”
And yesterday the radio posted the video on YouTube:

The interview is exactly the same, podcast and YouTube. The audio podcast is a just little longer only because “Just My Imagination” (album version) was aired at the end.
Thanks to The Cranberries Brasil & Dolores O’Riordan Spain for noticing.
The next Cranberries concert will take place in France at “La Nuit de l’Erdre” on July 1st.
The schedules were recently revealed on the website and all the social medias of the festival.
The Cranberries will play a 1h30 show starting at 10:40 PM
Like Festi’Neuch in Switzerland and Festival Jardins Pedralbes in Spain, this festival is sold out!
The Cranberries will play Festival Jardins Pedralbes in Barcelona, Spain tonight at 10:00 PM.
The show is sold out (seating capacity 2100) and it is the last one for the band this month!
This post will be updated all day so please keep coming back…
No backdrop tonight to let the view on the beautiful “Palau de Pedralbes”
