“No Need To Argue” colored vinyl reissue: 2 versions (UPDATED)

December 11, 2016  |  Comments Off on “No Need To Argue” colored vinyl reissue: 2 versions (UPDATED)  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

It seems like there is an unexpected new item on sale on Runt.com
As you know they announced they would sell some NNTA “cranberry colored vinyl” limited editon starting from September 2016, though two fans recently noticed that they were actually selling one “cranberry” color and one “plum red” color.

The below pictures show the difference between the two:

Thank you to Andrea and Dominestar for noticing.

UPDATE DEC.23:
Some members of our team received their “Cranberry Red” and “Plum Red” colored LP’s.
How to recognize them? Easy, you can’t make any mistake. First they have a different catalog number: PLA 2021 for Cranberry and PLA 2022 for Plum. Secondly, they have different stickers on their cover and the Cranberry sticker is always located on the top center whereas the Plum one is always on the top left. Here below close-up photos.

“Science Agrees” signed vinyls: where is Olé taking us to?

December 10, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

As you may have noticed, some of Olé Koretsky’s very cool signatures on Science Agrees vinyls feature some geographic coordinates.
Let’s thus have a bit of fun finding out where Olé is taking us, sometimes even inviting fans to travel in time!

VINYL #1 (thanks to electro1979)

This one makes fans land in Australia, in a residential area: 2 Hewlett St, Bronte NSW 2024.
As Olé mentions the year 1988 and signs “TIME TRAVEL”, we can imagine this could be the place where he spent his childhood? Very mysterious!

VINYL #2 (thanks to peepee173)

“TIME TRAVEL”
Another puzzling one that leads fans to Miami Beach in Florida, USA: 7601 Atlantic Way, Miami Beach, FL 33141, USA. Seems like Olé is again inviting us to travel in time back to 2005.

VINYL #3 (thanks to PT)

“WE’LL GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME”
Wondering where the Science Agrees vinyls were signed? This one possibly shades light on this question as GPS coordinates point to the Londonian suburds: 12 Swainson Rd, London W3 7XB, UK.
Looking for this address on the Internet will reveal these are Cooking Vinyl offices!
Note the big “KO” on his face… rather cool, isn’t it?

VINYL #4 (thanks to raulovinyl)

“ON MY WAY”
This one is quite funny as Olé mentions he is “on his way” to this destination, which happens to be none other but Shannon Airport, near Limerick in Ireland.
Have safe flights, Olé 😉
Double “KO” on his face on this one !

VINYL #5 (thanks to Andrea)

“GETTING WARMER”
With this new one sent by Andrea from Italia, Olé sends us to Venice beach, Los Angeles.
Not too much of a surprising destination, let us remember Dolores has/had (?) a flat at Marina del Ray and was spotted on this beach in February 2015.

VINYL #6 (thanks to Mario A.)

Another cool “TIME TRAVEL” signed LP. Hard to see it on this picture but 1991 is written on Olé’s face.
The coordinates point to the following address: 1633 79th St, Brooklyn, NY 11214, USA.
Looking at the street view picture on the right, you’ll see a building that looks like a school. Was it Olé’s school (kindergarten?) when he was a child back in 1991?
Possibly, unless he wants us to see the opposite side of the street and the multifamily residential? Could be a place where he grew up….

VINYL #7 (thanks to Richard)

“…CLOSER THAN YOU THINK”
No coordinates on this one but as Richard says: “Pretty cool”

VINYL #8 (thanks to cranfandy)

“SEE YOU AT SIX”
A rendez-vous? How cool!
These coordinates are leading us to 1 Highwood Avenue, Tenafly, NJ 07670, USA.
Looks like a small mall with three restaurants (Sushi, Café & Grill, Vietnamese) a clothing shop for children (Party Girl), a jeweler (Charmed) and a hair salon (BBC Salon).
Where do you think Olé is inviting us? Are we up for a dinner, a jewel, or a haircut?
Our guess is on a restaurant… or wasn’t Olé working as a hairdresser at one point though?

VINYL #9 (thanks to cranmex)

“ARCTIC  OK  THANK YOU”
Just like Richard LP, this one has no coordinates and may be related to travels.
Possibly Arctic is such an exact position itself that it doesn’t need any GPS coordinates!
So travelling to the Arctic ??!!? …  let’s go 🙂
Another cool message for sure.

Feel free to send us a picture of yours, the more we get pieces of the puzzle, the funnier it is.
And most of all, thanks to Olé for this cool treasure hunt.

Pledge Music – from disappointment to disappointment…

November 30, 2016  |  8 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

What a very disappointing news for fans who had ordered D.A.R.K.’s “Science Agrees” Screen Print on Pledge Music almost 8 months ago now: the platform is about to refund fans as “unfortunately, not enough orders were placed to meet the requirements for a minimum run to be manufactured

What’s all the more unsatisfying is that -once again- Pledge Music failed to inform fans about it (and to proceed to refunds). Cranberries World’s team got to learn about it today through a fan who emailed Pledge Music to complain as he had still not received the ordered items.
Quite unprofessional taking into account orders have been closed since September 9th… time to realize “not enough orders were placed” on November 30th !!!
They let the fan know they “will therefore be refunding [him] for this item” and “are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and will process [his] refund ASAP.”

Not to mention that this is another loss of money for foreign fans who bought this signed screen print in March when British pound was rather high, and who are going to be refunded now the pound has significantly decreased. Thank you Pledge, thank you Brexit!

Although we’re really excited about the signed vinyl -especially as Olé is treating fans with cool messages as you can see on the below pictures- we have to emphasize Pledge Music’s lame services: release date postponed three times, fans pre-ordered items damaged in the process of delivery, finally delivered almost three months after general sale…

This excellent album has been cursed, to say the least 🙁

Signed LP’s now on their way… and some of them have (already) arrived:

Here’s the Pledge Music message as received:

Hi,
Thank you for your patience waiting for your Signed Screen Print from D.A.R.K.
Unfortunately, not enough orders were placed to meet the requirements for a minimum run to be manufactured and we will therefore be refunding you for this item. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and will process your refund ASAP.
If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service team via your order here – pledgemusic.com/pledges.

(SPOIL) Possible setlist for the next Cranberries show in Lima, Peru

November 29, 2016  |  4 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Do not read below if you don’t wanna be spoiled as this is possibly the setlist for the next Cranberries show in Lima, Peru. The source comes from Johanna (back vocals) who posted on her Instagram (Story) account a short video filmed during the Cranberries rehearsals yesterday at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio in Limerick. At the very end of the video appears the setlist and The Cranberries Brasil did a screen capture below, so thanks to them for noticing!
For those who don’t necessarily follow The Cranberries on social medias everyday, you have to know that the whole band -including Dolores- has been rehearsing in Limerick for over a week now for the upcoming show in Peru next month. You can find a few pictures of these rehearsals on The Cranberries Instagram account.

Setlist off Johanna’s video:

news-2016-11-29-setlist-rehearsals

For those who can’t read:

Analyse
Animal
Wanted
Linger
When You Gone
Dreaming My Dreams
Just My Imagination
Ode
Loud And Clear
Free To Decide
Can’t Be With You
Conduct
Desperate Andy
Playboys
Salvation
Ridiculous
Zombie

Empty
You And Me
Promises
Dreams

Well, this is not really a proper spoil as this is the same set as the European shows this summer. Fans in Peru probably won’t be disappointed as they haven’t seen the band live for almost 7 years. Remember that The Cranberries didn’t visit the South American continent with their Roses Tour and the last time the band played in Lima was during the Reunion Tour in February 2010. This setlist will probably look fresh for all the fans over there.

Songs by Electrons feat. Dolores O’ Riordan coming soon

November 23, 2016  |  4 Comments  |  by Jury  |  Dolores O'Riordan

Yesterday the musician/composer Eric Alexandrakis published on his Facebook account screenshots of what appears to be the Soundcloud pages (yet unabailable) for two songs by Electrons project, La Fine and Spectre. Eric also wrote: “I love these tracks. Coming soon.”

news-2016-11-23-spectre-pg-demo

news-2016-11-23-la-fine-in-progress

A little reminder for those who forgot (it’s been awhile since we’ve heard any news from Eric)… Electrons is the name of Alexandrakis’ project which includes different musicians from bands like Duran Duran, The Cure, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and others. Dolores O’Riordan recorded her vocals for some of the Electrons’ songs, including La Fine and You Got What You Wanted.

And now it seems we are close to finally hear these tracks!

The Cranberries rehearsing for the upcoming show in Lima, Peru (UPDATED 2x)

November 22, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

This Sunday Noel Hogan posted on Twitter“First day of Cranberries rehearsal tomorrow. Peru show coming up.” And today the first photo of the rehearsals appeared on the band’s Instagram and fans discovered Mike, Dolores and crew members inside the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio located at Limerick University in Limerick, Ireland. The band already rehearsed in that studio before (for previous concerts) and even recorded there the next Cranberries album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.

A month after Science Agrees release

October 12, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

There is renewed hope for fans who cannot wait to see Dolores O’Riordan new project with Ole Koretsky and Andy Rourke, D.A.R.K., live !

Indeed, no later than last night, the band posted the below video on their Instagram account asking fans “which songs would you like to see played live ?

Can we thus expect the band to go on tour late 2016 – which is unlikely if The Cranberries are touring South America – or in 2017 ?

From this small and very exciting preview of the rehearsals, there’s no doubt fans will be very disappointed if the tour is not taking place as Loosen The Noose sounds brilliant here.

Let’s thus cross fingers we’ll be lucky enough to see them live in the upcoming months/year, and that we’ll get to see more of this video filmed during the rehearsals too.

Let’s also note that the Cranberries World poll “What’s your favorite track on Science Agrees?” has now ended, interestingly showing that High Fashion clearly stands out as the ONE song most Cranberries fans consider as their favorite on the album with a high score of 35% !

The second song that received quite a lot of votes too is Gunfight (23%), which is not so surprising taking into account fans comments when the song was released. What a blast !

The two winners are closely followed by Loosen The Noose (20%) and Watch Out (16%).

You can see the poll results by clicking here, a good preview for the band to know which songs fans would like to hear live 😉

Noel Hogan at the “BMI London Awards 2016” (UPDATED)

October 10, 2016  |  4 Comments  |  by Axl  |  Noel Hogan, The Cranberries

It all started a few days ago, on October 7th, when Noel Hogan twittedSo here’s what happening early next week. Dolores & I are up for an award” with a close-up photo of the possible invitation (?) received. What a great and unexpected news!

Earlier today Noel posted a route map of his flight from Shannon (IRL) to London (UK) with the following note “BMI awards tonight.” Good news: Noel will be attending the ceremony, though no sign of Dolores yet!

The BMI London Awards is a music industry ceremony which honors the UK/European songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-played BMI songs on American radio and television. This year the ceremony is held at the Dorchester Hotel in London where Sting is to be named BMI Icon in recognition of his award-winning career and influence on popular music for more than four decades.
At this point we had no details regarding the Cranberries prize.

Later in the evening the first photos appeared on the internet and fans discovered a very handsome Noel Hogan in a suit and a BMI medal on his chest, proving that Dolores would not show up at the event.

Following the ceremony, Noel published a photo of the BMI’s plaque he received “in recognition of the great national popularity as measured by over 3 million broadcast performances attained by DREAMS“.
Noel wrote: “So I got this. 3 million plays on US radio 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CRANBERRIES!!!

UPDATE – October 15

and the last picture (HQ) with Warner/Chappell Music Ltd members, posted on Noel Hogan Productions:

Noel also gave a short audio interview to audioBoom.com on influence of Sting/The Police.

The Cranberries “5 Classic Albums”: first pictures

October 10, 2016  |  3 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

The box set is quite flat, like a single CD and contains the first 5 albums of the band in their classic versions and not “The Complete Sessions” (as far as the first 4 albums are concerned). All is thin cardboard made, the box itself and the 5 album sleeves inside. Only the CD’s got a new and different artwork. No booklet nor lyrics here.

[EDIT:]
One of our readers Ricardo, thanks to him, noticed a big mistake concerning the album “Wake Up”.
Indeed the back cover of the album inside is announcing 16 tracks (13 + 3 bonus tracks) when the back cover of the box set is announcing only 13.
“Wake Up” would be the only album with bonus tracks? How weird!
The only solution to know the truth was to check the CD itself… and unfortunately there’s no B-sides nor hidden tracks. Only the 13 classic tracks and the CD ends with “Chocolate Brown”.
This is definitely the 5 classic albums!

Cranberries.com : new official website launched today

September 21, 2016  |  2 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Title says it all.
After 9 months of patience cranberries.com is finally launched!
The band just announced it a couple of hours ago today on all their social medias.

news-2016-09-21-cranberries-website-launched-today

Three things to notice:
1. The image on the homepage features green and orange stripes (color of the Irish flag)
Could that be a preview of the artwork of the band’s upcoming album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra?
2. Gallery has a lot of new pictures.
3. Biography reveals “2017 promises to be a very, very special year for The Cranberries in terms of touring and recording.”

The Hand wishes a belated birthday to Dolores O’ Riordan

September 21, 2016  |  1 Comments  |  by Axl  |  Dolores O'Riordan, Other News

These past days The Hand, the very famous cartoonist in The Cranberries world, was very prolific and drew several portraits of Dolores O’ Riordan.
Yesterday he published his final work on the Internet as a GIF called “12DoloreS”
followed by a post on his Twitter account today with a message revealing his real intention:

actually and intentionally it was a GIF(t) for her birthday .. but I was late, as usual :/

Unfortunately it seems it won’t turn into a new “Calendolores” 😉

As the animation goes quite fast, you may have missed some drawings!
You’ll thus find below all his BRILLIANT sketches extracted from the GIF as well as the images they are related to (as usual click on each picture to see it larger):

It’s been a week since the release of D.A.R.K.’s debut album Science Agrees, a perfect occasion to ask you guys what’s your favorite track after several listens.

Let’s note that we just learnt in a brand new interview of Andy Rourke given by website Cryptic Rock that the two release date postponements they had to went through (release was first supposed to take place in May, then August, then September) were due to “some problems with artwork”. Click here to read the whole interview.

So, because it might a little hard for you to pick only one song from the album, you’re allowed to pick your two “coups de coeur” in the poll below 😉

What's your favorite track on Science Agrees?

  • High Fashion (23%, 43 Votes)
  • Gunfight (15%, 28 Votes)
  • Loosen The Noose (13%, 24 Votes)
  • Watch Out (11%, 20 Votes)
  • Steal You Away (9%, 16 Votes)
  • Curvy (8%, 15 Votes)
  • The Moon (7%, 12 Votes)
  • Underwater (5%, 10 Votes)
  • Chynamite (5%, 9 Votes)
  • Miles Away (4%, 7 Votes)

The Cranberries in concert in Lima, Perú… now (almost) official

September 14, 2016  |  3 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

For those who were expecting nothing more to happen for The Cranberries or D.A.R.K. late 2016 following all the concerts and tour cancellations, you were wrong!
Dolores O’Riordan Spain, just found out a great new clue which (almost) comes as an official confirmation that The Cranberries will indeed play in Lima, Perú on December 17, 2016 at Festival Vivo X El Rock 8 in just 3 months from now!
Indeed, the rock band Papa Roach just published on their Instagram account the festival line-up featuring The Cranberries. What was a possible mistake published by Bandsintown a few days ago turns out to be a spoiler.

news-2016-09-14-papa-roach-instagram-lima-peru

Will there be more South/North American dates to come? What about the D.A.R.K. shows Andy Rourke was hoping to add in North America?
Time will tell…

Thanks to DORSpain for finding this.

New Cranberries box set to be released on October 7th

September 12, 2016  |  8 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

Although it might seem out of the blue, it looks like Universal Music is about to (rerere)release almost all The Cranberries albums/sessions (?) on October 7th, 2016…

Indeed, the below item has just appeared on different websites such as Amazon or eBay under the name “5 Classic Albums”.

news-2016-09-12-tc-5-classic-albums-boxset

The box set should contain five CDs although Amazon states there is “one disc” inside.
Indeed, if you search for the Universal 5 Classic Albums collection on the Internet, you’ll find box sets for different artists such as Status Quo, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many others, that all include five discs.

We can thus imagine the box set features the band’s first five albums Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We, No Need To Argue, To The Faithful Departed, Bury The Hatchet and Wake Up And Smell The Coffee.

This is only an assumption, but what’s for sure is that the cover of the box set looks just GREAT !

The Cranberries rumored to play in Lima, Perú this December

September 12, 2016  |  1 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

Can we trust Bandsintown?
As some fans have noticed already, a new date appeared on The Cranberries official Facebook “Tour” section last night: it thus seems the band is to play festival “Vivo x El Rock” in Lima, Perú on December 17th.

news-2016-09-12-tc-fb-tour-dates-with-lima-peru

However, let’s note that this date was not officially confirmed by the band nor the festival yet, and that Bandsintown sometimes announces wrong dates due to some keywords misunderstandings.

According to media Peru21.pe and LaRepublica.pe, Papa Roach, Garbage and Simple Plan are already confirmed on this edition’s lineup.

Let’s thus hope for South American fans that this is going to happen, and that some more dates will be announced around this time on the continent.

We’ll keep you updated on this as soon as we have some more news.

EDIT 9:30 am GMT: It seems the date was just taken down from Bandsintown… was that just another keyword mistake or was the official statement spoiled?

Update on Science Agrees release

September 9, 2016  |  3 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Still keeping you updated on Science Agrees release as it seems some fans were lucky enough to get their hands on a hard copy of the album today!!!

You can check below a pic of the CD, case, booklet published by DORSpain.
(As usual click on the picture to see it larger)

news-2016-09-09-sa-dorspain-scan

We used this occasion to update Credits & Lyrics in our discography, have a look at them.

So… if you managed to get a physical copy of the album, please let us know where it is available to help the desperate fans who cannot find it!
What we know for sure is that no one has been able to buy it in any store in France at the moment.
Tell us more about the availability in your country.

UPDATE:
It seems the album is on sale in Spain (Fnac stores), and in the UK.
Impossible to find it in France / Germany / Netherlands.

Also, to celebrate this release, let’s note D.A.R.K. posted a very cool vid on their Facebook account which you can watch below.

Last, numerous articles are being published to cover this release. Let’s thus put forward this very cool interview of Andy Rourke given to Yahoo Music that should get Smiths fans into this side project 😉

“Science Agrees” release, a few hours left…

September 8, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Are you guys all ready to discover D.A.R.K.’s debut album Science Agrees tomorrow?
Much to our delight the band confirmed a moment ago on Facebook the release date for tomorrow, which is reassuring as after a few postponements we feared the album would never see the light of day.

However there are still doubts on the fact the album will be physically released tomorrow.
Indeed, some members of our crew called their local record stores today to ask if the album would be available tomorrow… weirdly enough they were told they would have none in stocks this week!

So, was Amazon.com right announcing a digital release on September 9th and physical release (both CD and Vinyl) on October 14th? Time will tell, but vinyls/CDs collectors, be prepared for a possible deception… (or call your own local stores NOW and give us hope!)

“The Moon” officially shared today

September 6, 2016  |  2 Comments  |  by Axl  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

September 6, 2016: what a day!
After Dolores’ Birthday, the brand new audio interview featuring Dolores O’Riordan & Andy Rourke and the official world premiere of the track “High Fashion”, the website ConsequenceOfSound.net just officially shared “The Moon” – which, as we learnt earlier, is Dolores fav track of the album. The song is introduced as a gothic club track!

So if you didn’t get the album last August 19th when it was accidentally made available on streaming platforms and/or still haven’t heard “The Moon”, it is time.

Thanks to Cranberryesque for noticing.

What about “Science Agrees” physical release?

September 3, 2016  |  3 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Is there reasons to believe that Science Agrees release date could be postponed once again, or that the album could never see the light of day? (or at least be released digitally only)

A question worth asking as a fan who lives in Canada caught our attention on an email she received from Amazon.ca to let her know that her Science Agrees vinyl preorder was cancelled because they “expected to be able to send this item to [her]” but they “since found out it’s not available from any of [their] sources at this time“.

2016.09.03 amazonpreordercancelled

Quite a worrying message, especially now the D.A.R.K. European tour has been cancelled (and not postponed) a couple of days ago.

Although PledgeMusic has FINALLY updated the release date to September 9th on their website, let’s recall that fans who preorder the album/vinyl on their platform are made aware that the items should be ready on “October 21st”. Also, Amazon.com states that the album (CD and Vinyl) will be released on October 14th.

Whatever is happening here, we feel sorry for the band as these numerous postponements and cancellations must be quite a disappointment for them.

Let’s note that, on the journalists side, it seems some more promo CDs have been sent recently to the media for them to review the album in their September issues.
Indeed, as shown by the below pictures of two CDs that were sold on eBay recently, Cooking Vinyl pressed a new version of the album.

1st promo CD released in April 2016 (COOKCD642W):

2016.09.03 SA promo refW front

2016.09.03 SA promo refW back

2nd promo CD released in August 2016 (COOKCD642P):

2016.09.03 SA promo refP front

As a matter of fact, first reviews are being published these days, such as the tough one published on Slug Magazine or that of Pitchfork.

Special thanks to Andrea.

Towards another postponement of the D.A.R.K. tour? (TOUR CANCELLED – UPDATED 7x)

September 1, 2016  |  9 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Some members of our team just noticed that tickets for the Parisian concert of D.A.R.K. on September 22nd are not available for sale anymore at the moment, which could be a very nice surprise if that meant the concert was now sold out.

However, let’s note that, when trying to buy tickets on GDP, buyers are not told that the concert is sold out but that “there was a problem with the reservation”.
Fnac, on its side, mention that “tickets are no longer available…”

What’s more intriguing is that the band was still pushing the date on social media two days ago with a new video promoting the performance at Divan du Monde, which usually tends to show that the venue is far from selling out.

Although all other dates are still on sale, it seems the same “problem” can be noted with the Italian date due to take place on September 23rd at Tunnel Club in Milano.
Indeed, if one tries to buy tickets on Live Nation, the following message appears:

TICKETS CANCELLED

Currently No Tickets Available
Check back again soon for exclusive access to tickets!

2016.09.01 milano tix

This is definitely not a good sign as none of these concerts seemed close to selling out lately.
Let’s remember Dolores recently had to cancel four dates with The Cranberries lately due to health problems.

We fear another postponement/cancellation would deal severe blow to the D.A.R.K. project 🙁

UPDATE – 1 PM (CET)

TOUR IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED – NOT POSTPONED

Thanks to Cordell who confirmed a moment ago he/she received a mail from Fnac to confirm that the Paris date would not take place.

We also just received an email from Cyprus Avenue, Cork, to let us know that tickets bought for the D.A.R.K. concert were refunded.

Here is the official statement:

DARK have unfortunately been forced to cancel their European tour including their Cork date scheduled for Sept 17th. Refunds available from point of purchase. Statement from the band: ‘We are really sorry that we have to cancel these shows. Unfortunately Dolores has suffered an acute back injury. An MRI scan confirmed she has a bulging disc which causes extreme pain which has meant that she has not been able to fulfil several engagements in the last couple of weeks. We had hoped that with treatment and rest she would be recovered for this tour. Sadly this is not the case and the doctors have now advised full rest for at least the next month to ensure that her condition does not become more serious. Apologies for the inconvenience that this causes, it’s simply impossible to go ahead with the tour.’

Same message for the show in London, Bush Hall.

UPDATE – 1:35 PM (CET)

Official statement for Milano:

UPDATE – 1:55 PM (CET)

Limerick show at Dolan’s Warehouse now officially cancelled, same statement as the others.

UPDATE – 2:20 PM (CET)

The Whelan’s webiste just marked the Dublin show as cancelled and the Doctor Music’s website did the same for the show in Madrid at Caracol

FOR NOW ALL THE SHOWS BUT BERLIN, GERMANY ARE OFFICIALLY MARKED AS CANCELLED.

UPDATE – 2:45 PM (CET)

Doctor Music‘s official statement for Madrid:

POLL RESULT: Which Cranberries tracks would you like to hear with a new orchestra arrangement?

August 27, 2016  |  6 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

Since we were quite excited about the confirmation that The Cranberries were/had been working on a “Greatest Hits” album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, we asked fans to pick 15 songs they’d like to hear with a new orchestra arrangement so as to get a preview of what this album would ideally look like for them.

Vote is now over and here’s the interesting result of the poll that received a little more than 100 votes :

First surprise comes from the song who got the highest number of votes, you’d think it would be Zombie, Linger or Ode to My Family but it’s not: DAFFODIL LAMENT is the one track fans really want to see on this album, followed by three hits: Zombie, Dreams and Ode to My Family.

Only one song from the band’s last album Roses made it through the first 15 songs: Conduct, which ends up in the excellent fifth position, followed by the classics Promises, Linger, Ridiculous Thoughts, When You’re Gone and Animal Instinct.

Much to our delight, the eleventh position is held by So Cold In Ireland which we really hope the band will not forget to include on the album.

Apart from Shattered, in twelfth position, the following songs chosen by fans are all issued from first three albums: Put Me Down, Empty, Electric Blue and Twenty One all received 30 votes.

So if the album was to feature 15 songs or so, here’s what hardcore fans would like it to sound like:

GREATEST HITS ALBUM IDEAL TRACKLIST WITH THE ICO

Daffodil Lament
Zombie
Dreams
Ode To My Family
Conduct
Promises
Linger
Ridiculous Thoughts
When You’re Gone
Animal Instinct
So Cold In Ireland
Shattered
Put Me Down
Empty
Electric Blue
Twenty One

Pushing the experience a little further to see what a 20 tracks or so setlist would look like if the band was to perform their greatest hits live with the Irish Chamber Orchestra:

Songs in 17th, 18th and 19th position turn out to be the very awesome Dreaming My Dreams, Hollywood and No Need to Argue.

20th position is held by three tracks that received 23 votes: Astral Projections, Not Sorry and Sunday

To sum up, here’s what a Greatest Hits live with the Irish Chamber Orchestra 22 tracks setlist would ideally look like for fans:

GREATEST HITS LIVE IDEAL SETLIST WITH THE ICO

Daffodil Lament
Zombie
Dreams
Ode To My Family
Conduct
Promises
Linger
Ridiculous Thoughts
When You’re Gone
Animal Instinct
So Cold In Ireland
Shattered
Put Me Down
Empty
Electric Blue
Twenty One
Dreaming My Dreams
Hollywood
No Need To Argue
Astral Projections
Not Sorry
Sunday

Fans may note that no song from Wake Up And Smell The Coffee ended up in the 20-or-so tracks chosen by the fans, whereas this top includes:
– 9 songs from the No Need to Argue era
– 5 songs from Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We
– 3 songs from To The Faithfull Departed
– 3 songs from Bury The Hatchet
– 2 songs from Roses

Let’s remember fans did not pick their favorite songs here but those they would most like to hear with a new orchestra arrangement. Apart from the biggest hits, slow songs were clearly privileged – which is not too much of a surprise.

The Cranberries concerts in Cancún rescheduled to February 2017

August 19, 2016  |  9 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Following the cancellation of The Cranberries concert in Landerneau, France, due to Dolores’ back problem which prevented her to perform, Palace Resorts just confirmed a moment ago that the Mexican dates due to take place August 26, 27 and 28 will be rescheduled to February 10, 11 & 12 2017

2016.08.19 cancun rescheduled

2016.08.19 cancun new dates

Here’s the official announcement:

UPDATE THE CRANBERRIES: Due to circumstances of force majeure, Palace Resorts regrettably confirms three upcoming performances by The Cranberries scheduled to take place at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun on August 26, 27 and 28, 2016, have been rescheduled. The unexpected announcement is due to the unfortunate medical condition of an injury affecting Dolores O’Riordan, the band’s lead singer.

After several weeks of experiencing severe back pain caused by a bulging disc; sore and limited relief from medications prevented Dolores to go on stage, and the band was forced to cancel their last concert in France. “By now she’s simply not well enough and in too much pain to be able to perform”; said Dr. Masterson of Limerick University.

Regaining her health and ability to perform has been a priority for Dolores in the last few days. Unfortunately, the severe pain and swelling have not allowed her to recover and Dolores has been prescribed with complete rest.

Performances from The Cranberries at Moon Palace Arena will now take place on February 10, 11 and 12, 2017.

Guests who had already reserved tickets through our telemarketing or concierge staff for the shows may contact their assigned agent before September 23, 2016 to confirm their seats for the new dates. After this date, reservations will be forfeit.
For those who purchased tickets for these performances, please see detailed information below regarding new performances on February 10, 11 and 12th, 2017 at Moon Palace Arena:
• If your ticket was for the Friday, August 26, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Friday, February 10, 2017 concert.
• If your ticket was for the Saturday, August 27, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Saturday, February 11, 2017concert.
• If your ticket was for the Sunday, August 28, 2016 concert, you can use that ticket to go to the Sunday, February 12, 2017 concert.
If you cannot be present for the new dates, you can request a full refund as of Wednesday, August 24, 2016, and until Friday, September 23, 2016.
• If you bought your ticket at an authorized Ticketmaster retail location (e.g. Liverpool, Librerías Gandhi, Farmacias del Ahorro, etc.), please go to the retail location directly.
• If you bought your ticket at www.ticketmaster.com.mx or via phone, please call (01) 55 53 25 9000.
• If you bought your ticket at Palace Resorts box offices, please head to the location where the ticket was purchased.

We sincerely apologize for this unavoidable inconvenience and disappointment and send our best wishes to Dolores O’Riordan so she may recover fully. We also thank the fans and followers of The Cranberries for your understanding and solidarity.

We wish Dolores a prompt recovery.

“Science Agrees” being taken down from digital platforms?!

August 19, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Did digital platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer & co get “Science Agrees” release date wrong?

It seems something tricky is happening as the album was just taken down from iTunes music a couple of hours ago, now followed by Apple Music!!!
Could it be that these platforms were not informed that the release date was pushed back? This is a possibility, we’ll see in the following hours if the album remains available on other streaming platforms (Deezer, Spotify…)

If you want to get your hands on it before September 9th, make it fast cause you might not be able to buy it in the upcoming hours/days!!!

Whatever is happening, there’s definitely a mess surrounding this release which was already postponed twice since May 27th…
As mentioned in our previous post, Pledge Music is now announcing that people who preordered the signed CD/LP on their website should expect it to be delivered on October 21st!!!
Last, Amazon.com now mentions a digital release on August 19th and a physical release on October 14th, see below screencap:

2016.08.19 sc amazon usa

What the hell is happening?
Would the band fail to mention the digital album release today whereas they keep on promoting the upcoming Irish shows?

Thanks to Cranberryesque for drawing our attention on Amazon’s new release date

UPDATE AUGUST 20:
The album has now been removed from Spotify & Deezer too!

“Science Agrees” available NOW on digital platforms!

August 18, 2016  |  1 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

Surprising news but definitely real: “Science Agrees” is now available on digital platforms!

Indeed, fans first believed earlier today that the album had leaked, but it appears that it is actually available for digital download on iTunes Russia already, same goes for iTunes Australia as it’s already August 19th there!

2016.08.18 SA iTunes Russia

As a reminder, the release date was first set to May 27th, postponed to August 19th and then postponed again to September 9th. It seems September 9th will thus be the date of the physical release.

The Cranberries World team has already started working on the lyrics, feel free to help us correcting/completing them in our discography 🙂  (if you have any suggestions => “Leave a Reply” below)

As you might know, a demo version of the album had leaked on April 26th in a very private sphere. Some members of our team who are in possession of this version will compare as soon as possible both albums to see if there are major differences such as that we spotted on Gunfight. We will keep you updated on that but can definitely note for the moment that the tracklist is unchanged!

BUY IT AND ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS WE DO!

PS: Thanks to our friends at Cranberries Mexico who were the first to notice the “leak” in the afternoon

UPDATE AUGUST 19:
Although we mentioned last night that September 9th would probably be the date of release of the physical version of the album, it seems we were wrong as Pledge Music updated their website this morning stating that the CD and LP are now available but when clicking on their button it still says pre-order (weird!)
What’s even weirder is that the “expected fulfillment date” mentioned for those who pre-ordered signed album & LP is now set to October 21st!!! How disappointing when you’re among the first ones to preorder the album…

Colmar show + Landerneau cancellation review

August 16, 2016  |  1 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

First we’d like to apologize for this late review, travelling on the road from Colmar to Landerneau (something like 1,100km) within a night was rather exhausting for our team members, but here’s all you’ve got to know about The Cranberries last 2 shows of the European summer tour 2016.

The band arrived in the afternoon in Colmar, France in a private flight. Cool to note that the plane landed right behind the venue on a small aerodrome. Noel published some cool pics on his Tumblr account:

tumblr_obvch9kEoo1s9zd4io1_1280 tumblr_obvch9kEoo1s9zd4io2_1280 tumblr_obvch9kEoo1s9zd4io5_1280 tumblr_obvch9kEoo1s9zd4io6_1280

One more on Olé Koretsky Instagram:

2016.08.12 olé insta

As soon as they reached the venue, fans were made aware that Dolores was unwell that night through a message on her twitter account:

arrived in Colmar France with @The_Cranberries. bulging disk in my back is hurting me big time so please bear with me tonight. Love Dolores

Here’s a small video of the soundcheck filmed by Noel and posted on the band’s Instagram account:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJAm3UfjW-T/?taken-by=thecranberries

Noel & Fergal then gave a 10 minutes press conference which you can watch online on the below links where they explain why France is a major territory in their career, how they’re getting better with social medias, how touring has become much more relax than it used to be for them at the beginning of their career, what kind of setlist they play live…etc
They also come back on their 2010 performance at this very same festival where the concert had to be interrupted by a power cut and reassure journalists that Dolores is doing well but isn’t a big fan of interviews, just like Mike, hence the fact they’re not attending the conference.

As far as the concert is concerned, the band delivered an excellent performance, especially Dolores who impressively managed to do an excellent job although she was clearly having a hard time. She took time to tell the crowd, in French, that she had back problems and would do her best to sing perfectly as she wouldn’t be able to dance much.

2016.08.12 crowd pano

Highlights of the show probably were Dolores small “uh uh” impro at the end of Ridiculous Thoughts (which you can watch on the video we filmed on the giant screen below) and the always so intense Zombie she dedicated to “all the families of the people who were hurt at the hands of terrorism in France”.

The setlist was quite the same as the other European shows this year:

Dolores received epidural injections which turned out not to be efficient enough to enable her to perform on the following day. Indeed, when she reached Landerneau she was advised not to perform and was medically evacuated to an Irish hospital.

If most of the fans showed lots of sympathy towards Dolores, the “fête du bruit” festival deserves a major red card as they did not inform the crowd of the cancellation before 9pm, that is to say 15 minutes after the band should have taken the stage, whereas the band had already made it official via a message on their Facebook account 3 hours earlier!

Unfortunately we have to cancel tonight’s performance at the Fete du Bruit in Landerneau, France due to Dolores having a very painful back problem caused by a bulging disc.

We arrived at the venue here today for the show but unfortunately Dolores is simply not well enough and in too much pain to perform.

She managed to do last nights show in Colmar but after the performance she was in great pain, which did not improve and forced today’s cancellations.

Sincere apologies to all those who came to see us tonight.

We hope to come back and see all of our fans in France again soon!

Quite a shame especially when you know that the Internet network was barely working on site, which led most of the fans to keep waiting for the band until 9pm with no clue they would not perform…

As you can see -if you speak French- on the below video we filmed, the festival organisers stated they are willing the reschedule this performance of The Cranberries for an upcoming edition.
Let’s hope the line up will be more coherent if this is to happen again cause we can tell you we had to endure some of the worst artist (?!) performances we were given to see in our lives…

To this point, we still don’t know if Dolores is expected to stay in hospital for a couple of days or for a longer time. No announcement re the upcoming Mexican shows due to take place on August 26, 27, 28 has been made yet but they might be compromised (?)

Let’s hope Dolores gets better soon, especially as the European D.A.R.K. tour is to start in exactly a month.

“All Things Considered/Why Music Matters” old interview with Dolores

August 6, 2016  |  Comments Off on “All Things Considered/Why Music Matters” old interview with Dolores  |  by Axl  |  Dolores O'Riordan, The Cranberries

One of our readers just sent us a link of an old and rare interview with Dolores O’Riordan recorded in 2012 a few months after the death of her father.

Broadcast on the US radio NPR, the music program is called “All Things Considered”.
They launched a new series called “Why Music Matters: stories from fans in their own words about how music has changed their lives”.

Nathan Hotchkiss.

Nathan Hotchkiss

In this episode you can listen to the story of Nathan Hotchkiss explaining how The Cranberries music helped him coming to terms with his identity. For sure a nice moment to be shared and there’s a happy surprise at the end of the 8min audio clip as he had the chance to exchange a few words with Dolores herself who seems to be touched by his story.

Download and/or listen to the show by clicking this link.
Thanks to Lionel for the information!

2012.02.10 show 1
Note: NPR might sound familiar to fans as the radio also recorded a Cranberries promo performance in 2012 for “All Songs Considered/Tiny Desk Concert”. Unclear whether this was recorded the same day or not.

And to help you, here’s an enticing preview of what this album could sound like with an extract from Dolores solo performance featuring the Irish Chamber Orchestra at the Limerick City of Culture New Year’s Eve performance, 2013:

CONFIRMED: Cranberries “Greatest Hits” album with the Irish Chamber Orchestra

August 3, 2016  |  7 Comments  |  by Axl  |  D.A.R.K., The Cranberries

The English magazine “Classic Pop” published in their current August/September issue a brand new interview with D.A.R.K., the first one featuring Dolores.

2016.08.03 CP cover
Even if this interview is totally focused on D.A.R.K., one part retains the reader’s attention more than the others as “Classic Pop” is the very first media to officially confirm what Cranberries World team member Jury exposed/guessed a few months ago:

THE CRANBERRIES ARE/WERE RECORDING AN ALBUM WITH THE IRISH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA.

DOLORES: (…) at the time I felt like it (Roses) was going to be the last album, but the years go by, things happen in your life and you end up together.

A cranberries ‘greatest hits’ album is due to be recorded soon with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and that project co-exists with the debut album by D.A.R.K.

Dolores and the boys probably had not recorded anything when this interview was done, and to this day it is unclear whether the lads totally finished all their tracks/parts nor if Dolores even started recording hers. Anyway, this is definitely good news for all The Cranberries fans.

The rest of the interview, the main part, is still very interesting as it’s the very first time we get to read Dolores’ point of view about D.A.R.K.’s project:

DOLORES: It’s a very different way of working to how The Cranberries operate (…) This project is completely different than anything else I have worked on and I’d have to call it unique. It wasn’t contrived in any way. It just kinda happened and became the sound that it was.

OLE KORETSKY: Apart from the Seventies wannabee purists, 90% of bands these days are using programs. Everybody is playing to a click track! The Cranberries are one of the bands who don’t do that. Them, AC/DC, and The Rolling Stones are just rocking out! It’s a very different vibe.

Dolores also talks about the tough days, the time she spent in a psychiatric hospital, the help received from doctors and family and the fact she is feeling better now. Some parts of “Science Agrees” were recorded during this turmoil. Working on D.A.R.K.’s songs was a sort of therapy.

DOLORES: I was manic when I was recording Gunfight”.

A selfie for Dolores / An artwork for “Gunfight”

2016.07.27 D selfie

So rare it has to be shared!!!
Dolores took her first ever selfie today and posted it on her Facebook account with the following words:

Hello Facebook!!
This is my first selfie….ever!
I got a few days off from The Cranberries tour so I thought I’d give Facebook a crack…. It’s great to be back on the road with Mike, Noel and Ferg and I’m really looking forward to the September DARK tour with Andy and Ole. New DARK songs are here: https://DARK.lnk.to/SA
Sending you all my love…Dolores xo

On the other hand and following the news about Science Agrees new release date and Gunfight‘s availability on streaming platforms, the fansite Cranberryesque discovered on Spotify that the song had its own artwork:

On why “Science Agrees” release was postponed twice…

July 20, 2016  |  4 Comments  |  by Camille  |  D.A.R.K., Dolores O'Riordan

As you may know, the third track of Science Agrees, Gunfight, was officially released today as a free download for fans who had preordered the album on Pledge Music.
Like many, we enthusiastically waited for midnight to give this track a listen and found out that mix and lyrics actually differ from the 30-second-extract of the song that was published on Shazam mid may!

Indeed, what we will now call an alternative version featured the following line:

“This love life is doing me harm”

whereas we can obviously hear the below words on the official release today:

“This love life, lost in your arms”

GFlyrx

This interesting change leads us to ponder over the reason that triggered two postponements of the album release date: has the album undergone changes since?

We believe it’s worth considering such theory, especially as, as noted recently, two unknown tracks which are NOT part of the tracklist that was revealed in May have been used by the band in videos made to promote the upcoming European shows.

Are we to expect a new tracklist and different versions of the songs that were sent to journalists in May?
Time will tell, but this is definitely exciting!

EDIT: SEP.09, 2016
Lyrics above were just an attempt before the album was officially released. Now the album is out and the official lyrics say: “You know I can’t sleep” and not “Now”

The Cranberries in concert at festival “La Nuit de l’Erdre”

July 3, 2016  |  7 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

The “Summer Tour 2016” continues, this time in France near Nantes headlining festival “La Nuit de l’Erdre” in front of 17,000 fans. This was the 4th concert of this short tour and it was sold out once again.

The band just had a 3-week-break. Dolores and Johanna were arriving from the USA.
Johanna wrote on Twitter: “Jet lag in a hotel in France”
See Mike resting on his bed a few hours before the show as published on the band’s instagram.

2016.07.01 preshow 1

Perfectly on time (10:40 PM) and right when the other band playing the second stage finished their set, The Cranberries entered the main stage playing Analyse without intro. Not even 30 seconds between the 2 bands! This suddenness surprised everyone in the audience… especially when there’s no musical intro!
There was a few sound problems during the show. A possible contact failure on Noel’s Guitar (?)

2016-07-01-show-6

2016-07-01-show-17

2016-07-01-show-19

The setlist was the same as the other 3 European shows minus 2 songs, Loud And Clear and Desperate Andy. The show was shorter than expected, about 1h15 instead of 1h30. Hard to explain why as there was no curfew and the band was officially announced for a 1H30-show. As usual most of the crowd didn’t know/understand that Dreams was the last song and was expecting a second encore, especially as 15 minutes left. Plus The Cranberries not coming back to salute properly at the end of the show (as they always do 🙁 ) let a “we want more” feeling in the air.

Setlist, The Cranberries, La Nuit de l’Erdre (July 1, 2016):
01. Analyse
02. Animal Instinct
03. Wanted
04. Linger
05. When You’re Gone
06. Dreaming My Dreams
07. Just My Imagination
08. Ode To My Family
09. Free To Decide
10. I Can’t Be With You
11. Conduct
12. Schizophrenic Playboys
13. Salvation
14. Ridiculous Thoughts
15. Zombie

16. Empty
17. You And Me
18. Promises
19. Dreams

The CW team instagramed a few photos that day and tried to periscope a few things and the first 2 songs of the show. Sorry internet 3G was really poor on the site and the quality kinda sucks.
Nothing we can do about that.
Anyway here’s our HD video of Conduct recorded from the front row!

A new Cranberries album: “I wouldn’t say soon!”

June 20, 2016  |  Comments Off on A new Cranberries album: “I wouldn’t say soon!”  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Here comes another interview of The Cranberries given at Festi’Neuch in Switzerland.
This time, Fergal and Noel answered questions for a local radio called RTN.

2016.06.09 RTN

Among a few questions about playing festivals, past hiatus or their families, a question (and an answer actually!!) about the next Cranberries album retains attention:

RTN: Is there a chance for us to have a new Cranberries album anytime soon?

Noel: Humm, yeah we’ve been talking about it, we’ve got to write this first… So I wouldn’t say soon… But hopefully we will start getting down to it as we kinda get more into the gigs.

Listen to the whole RTN interview (6min long) by clicking this link.
Thanks once more to DO’RSpain for finding this.

[Festi’Neuch] RadioFr.Fribourg interviewed Noel Hogan – Audio & Video

June 18, 2016  |  Comments Off on [Festi’Neuch] RadioFr.Fribourg interviewed Noel Hogan – Audio & Video  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

A few hours before the show at Festi’Neuch in Switzerland last week, the radio “RadioFr.Fribourg” had the opportunity to interview Noel Hogan.

Hopefully next year we will be back to do more of our own gigs again…

NOEL HOGAN

The radio released the audio podcast (MP3):

On June 10th, the interviewer Jonathan Grossenbacher posted on his Twitter account a photo of that moment with a few words addressed to Noel: “Thanks for this amazing moment!”

And yesterday the radio posted the video on YouTube:

The interview is exactly the same, podcast and YouTube. The audio podcast is a just little longer only because “Just My Imagination” (album version) was aired at the end.

The Cranberries rehearsing “Linger” for “The Bachelorette” show

June 6, 2016  |  Comments Off on The Cranberries rehearsing “Linger” for “The Bachelorette” show  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Andrew Kimmel, producer of the TV Show “The Bachelorette”, published a real gem 5 months ago on YouTube, a video of The Cranberries minus Mike and Fergal rehearsing “Linger” with a string quartet at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin recorded in June 2015 April 2015 for the Season 9 of the American TV Show “The Bachelorette”.

This is a different version as the one aired on TV (again, this is taken from the rehearsals) but it’s very similar and this time it’s a full version. You might remember the episode with The Cranberries didn’t air the whole song (only 2 minutes) and there were dialogues on it; have a look at the news from last year.

This new video is only one camera, one angle and there is extra time before and after the song. And available in HD 1080p. Thank You Mister Producer!

The Cranberries live in concert at Arena Lublin, first photos/videos

June 3, 2016  |  7 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

The very first show of The Cranberries in a long time started a few minutes ago.
Unfortunately the live streaming announced yesterday was a fake. (All YouTube and Prostreamy links). Even The band officially announced the event on their Facebook and got fooled. Incredible how many scammers there are for this show!

Anyway the only way to follow the concert if you are not in Lublin tonight is social medias like Instagram, Twitter or Periscope. Here below the first photos taken by people at the Arena today. Authors will be credited a little later. More photos and information will come as the evening progresses…

Lublin to be broadcast live tomorrow + Meet and Greet contest (UPDATED 3x)

June 2, 2016  |  5 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

More surprises to come from Poland.
It seems the Lublin show will be broadcast live on YouTube as well as one other stuff.
Indeed 2 feeds are available on YouTube right now. They are displaying different timing.

The first one is clearly tomorrow’s show. It is perfectly announced as a live stream and time matches the usual schedule for a concert starting around 8:00 PM local time. The other one is more mysterious as the broadcast will begin in the morning. What is it exactly and where is it (the word “? No more information for now. Maybe fans understanding Polish might help. A possible a press conference, or soundcheck?? Clearly another surprise to come.
Die-hard fans!!!
It’s time to check if your streaming recorder is perfectly working and ready for tomorrow!!

On the other hand Arena Lublin launched a meet & greet contest on their Facebook.
15 Polish fans will have the chance to meet Mike, Noel and Fergal before the show tomorrow. Dolores is not officially announced but there is a good chance she will join.

And last, earlier today, the band unveiled on social medias the new backdrop for the Summer Tour: it will be the classic “The Cranberries” logo.
Looking great isn’t it?

UPDATE – 3 JUNE – 9:10 AM (UTC)

The unknown “morning” streaming have been delayed. it was supposed to start more than 1 hour ago. New schedule is NOON local time, (10:00 AM UTC). Starts in 50 minutes then… Still no information on what it could stream… surprise!

UPDATE – 3 JUNE – 10:20 AM (UTC)

BEWARE
Bad surprise!
One of our readers Kamil Urczyński reported on our Facebook that YouTube link was FAKE.

Here’s what Kamil says: “Link to youtube is fake, it will charge a fee for the sent sms to encourage subscriptions and paid surveys. Only true livestream is Prostreamy.pl”

Tomek, in the comments below, also posted about Prostreamy.pl

If any Polish fans can confirm, it would help a lot.
Indeed when you go to YouTube now, the streaming was supposed to start 20 minutes ago and nothing appears except a weird link below the video opening a new window where you are asked to enter a phone number. It seems Kamil says the truth, so watch out and report to YouTube if you can.

What’s for sure is that Lublin show will be broadcast live on the internet tonight. This was confirmed by The Cranberries this morning on their Facebook, but the band posted the same link as us. Even if both YouTube accounts are 2 different users the look is very close and the band might have been fooled as well. Let’s hope they’ll be able to confirm the correct link asap if YouTube link(s) really is/are fake.

UPDATE – 3 JUNE – 1:30 PM (UTC)

One of the fake YouTube account has been suspended!
The other, the one from the “morning” is still running so be careful.

Both are fake

We don’t know yet if there is a true live stream tonight.

The Cranberries are in Poland

June 1, 2016  |  6 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Yesterday, 31 May 2016, the 3 lads were back on tour as seen on The Cranberries Instagram. Nice photo taken in a car with Noel driving! On the way to Dublin to take a plane for Lublin, Poland where the 1st show in almost 4 years will take place next Friday.

This morning, 1 June 2016, early start… as seen on The Cranberries Instagram

In the afternoon, Arena Lublin posted on the Facebook Events page of the show, a lot of photos of the arrival of the guys with also Mikey Freedom Hart, Johanna Wiseley and some of their crew members at Lublin Airport. Yes they all flew with Ryan Air!!

Dolores wasn’t travelling with the boys but later on the evening Olé Koretsky revealed on Instagram that he was in Warszawa (Teatr Narodowy). No doubt Dolores is somewhere around even if not appearing on the photo. We can definitely say The Cranberries have all arrived in Poland.

And last for the day, Johanna posted on Instagram a photo of the 3 boys when in Lublin Old Town.

More pictures of their stay in Poland will probably appear tomorrow, possibly media and/or soundcheck to do (?) so this post will be updated as soon as possible. Please check back later.

UPDATE – JUNE 2 – 2:10 PM (UTC)

Lubelska TV posted a short video of the guys arriving at the airport yesterday.

Thanks to Andrzej for the link!

The Cranberries European Summer Tour 2016 is about to start!

May 29, 2016  |  7 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

There a now five days left until the first concert of The Cranberries European Tour 2016 which will take place at the Arena Lublin, in Poland.

Walking through the streets of Lublin, Polish fans will probably notice that the Lublin Arena is doing last minute street marketing to promote the concert these days, as you can see on the below pics:

On the band’s part, Noel posted two new rehearsals pics, mentioning these were the last days of rehearsals, along with a brand new poster of the tour and a pic of crew members’ tour books.

Last, the Limerick Leader posted a cool article about the band’s comeback along with a small interview from Ken Coleman, the Irish digital media artist who took the recent photographs and video of the band posted on The Cranberries official social media accounts.

Ken explained:

They are all in different places at different times, so we had a very small window of opportunity to get it done on a Sunday evening.

We knocked it out in about an hour and a half; green screen, live video, and the stills from that last practice before they packed up.

I got a couple of shots of them and the video and you can see at the very end that they are having a good chat, they were laughing and joking amongst themselves.

What is exciting is the international reaction – the video had 300,000 hits in a day, the Instagram had 48,000 likes.

You guys better be ready for memorable tour!!!

Who’s going to see the band? 😉
