Yesterday, Hot Press informed fans that they had started shipping the “Why Can’t We?” book orders, showing on Instagram the platinum edition.

They shared on the occasion the first pictures of the Platinum Edition:

At the moment, only fans who have ordered the Deluxe Platinum Limited Edition exclusively have received the below email.
Those who have ordered both Special Gold Edition and Deluxe Platinum Limited Edition are still awaiting for their order to be shipped.

Those who ordered the Gold Edition are now receiving shipping confirmation as well today.
It seems the last who will get the email will be fans who ordered both editions at once.

Hot Press also shared new pictures on their Instagram account stating “deliveries are going out every day”, everyone should therefore soon be getting their order.

First image of the new Cranberries book “Why Can’t We?” shared today by user SineadB on Twitter. Possibly looks like the Gold (standard) version, not the Platinum (deluxe) one.

According to recordsonvinyl.nl and bol.com, the best of “Stars” will be re-released on double vinyl on 27 May 2022.

There is no information about the vinyl color yet; and dont pay attention to the image used on recordsonvinyl.com, the black vinyl around the album cover is what they do on all their images.

The only thing for now is that recordsonvinyl.nl states from Netherlands, and bol.com states from Czech Republic. So, who’s right?

Also, will they re-use the same transparent disc released for the Record Store Day edition with slightly different credits on back cover, or will it be a brand new black (or else) vinyl edition?

The Cranberries announced on their socials (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) and by email today, the release of the black vinyl, still on 27 May 2022, and shared a 15-second video for the occasion.

The album was supposed to be released today but was pushed back to 12 November as mentioned on towerrecords.ie

Same for all streaming platforms.

Might be due to Adele’s new LP pressing that is currently triggering shortage – read this article from variety.com

Don’t forget tonight on The Late Late Show, ROE performing her version of “I Can’t Be With You” to coincide with the release of the album… well, not anymore!!

The album is now available on all streaming platforms, it was not the case earlier in the day. Ultimately the physical release does not impact the digital one anymore.

Supposed to be released yesterday, its new release date is now 18 February 2022, according to many websites such as goldendiscs.ie, spindizzyrecords.com…
On spindizzyrecords.com the mention yellow vinyl is back, which would indeed make more sense.

Hot Press emphasizes that those fan pics will only feature on the Deluxe Platinum Edition of the book, not on the Special Gold Edition.

They also remind fans that the deadline to get the name of the people who preorder the Deluxe Platinum Edition listed as Executive Producers in the book, initially set on Sept 30th, has been pushed back so as to allow more fans to get this chance.
If you haven’t pre ordered that edition yet and want to feature on the list of Executive Producers, do it fast as they’re about to close this opportunity!

Today was the official release date for “Salvation inspired by The Cranberries” and the full album was available at midnight earlier today on all streaming platforms. A few songs were even officially posted on YouTube yesterday.

Since, the album was removed everywhere but Spotify (for now, so hurry if you want to have a listen!) and its new release date is now on 5th November as mentioned on towerrecords.ie

No reason given yet…

Earlier today during their facebook event to commemorate what would have been Dolores’ 50th birthday, The Cranberries announced quite out of the blue, the release of “To The Faithful Departed 25th Anniversary” for the end of the year, before Christmas.

For now they gave very few information about the content except that it will include 3 demos done in Paris with Tim Palmer (audio engineer / record producer) when they were in the middle of a tour.

If you missed The Cranberries special event on Facebook earlier today, you can watch it again here, it’s available to everyone whether you are on or off facebook. The band was interviewed by Stuart Clark (from Hot Press magazine) at the Strand hotel in Limerick.

Noel Hogan was interviewed on “The Ryan Tubridy Show” on the Irish radio station RTÉ Radio 1 this morning. Talking about the new Hot Press book and The Cranberries.

Noel Hogan and Stuart Clark from Hot Press magazine just announced this morning on Limerick’s Live95 radio that a book about The Cranberries History would be released in October this year.

Noel explained that this would be a collection of interviews and stories (as told through the pages of Hot Press) from when they began up to the end, which he believes is a better way for fans to see how the band evolved over 30 years.

There will be 2 editions/formats of “WHY CAN’T WE?”
The standard “Special Gold Edition” limited to 5,000 copies or so (€39.50).
And the large format “Deluxe Platinum Limited Edition” limited to 1,000 copies (€159).

The deluxe edition will be signed by Noel, Mike, Fergal and Dolores’ mother Eileen O’Riordan.

Every pre-purchaser of the deluxe edition will also have their name included in the book as an Executive Producer.

“When You’re Gone” by Pillow Queens is the first single from the forthcoming tribute album “Salvation” inspired by The Cranberries for Pieta. The song was released today and is available on all streaming platforms now.

Pillow Queens will be performing  the song on “The Late Late Show” tonight from 9:35pm on RTÉ One (Irish TV).

Two more things to notice, the album includes an unreleased Cranberries recording “Chocolate Brown” live for 2FM, and singer Lyra (who performed “Zombie” on “The Late Late Show” as tribute to Dolores last January) is not featured on the album.

The Cranberries just announced on their socials (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), the launch of their American-based online merchandise store which can now serve all American regions (north, central and south) more efficiently.

A new 3CD boxset to be released by Spectrum (the record label who already released Dreams The Collection) and titled “The Essential Cranberries” or “Essential Cranberries” or maybe just “Essentials” has been spotted on Amazon.co.uk, wowhd.co.uk and merchbar.com recently.

According to Amazon, it is to be released on 30 April 2021 and according to other websites it is to be released on 7 May 2021. There is no tracklist information for now and artwork might be very uncertain as already seen before (for example on 606Musix).

Even though the 30th of April is the exact release date of the album “To The Faithful Departed”, this boxset has probably nothing to do with a 25th Anniversary Edition!

The “Zombie” Music Video has hit another 100 Million views exactly a year after getting 1 billion views on YouTube. 100 Million views a year looks like its cruising speed!

iTunes made the song available for 69 cents. As a result, it got back on Billboard charts, not just arriving at its peak position on the hot alternative songs charts (#13) on 9 April 2021,

but hitting another #1 milestone (alternative digital sales charts), still on 9 April 2021.

As announced today on the Record Story Day UK website, The Cranberries will be releasing a limited edition vinyl of their best of Stars to raise money for War Child:

Following on from the reissues of ‘Everybody Else is Doing it… ‘ and ‘No Need to Argue’ – and 30 years after their debut release – UMC are proud to issue for the first time on vinyl a special transparent edition of the band’s greatest-hits collection ‘Stars: The Best of 1992–2002’. The Cranberries rose to international fame in the 1990s with global smashes such as ‘Zombie’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Linger’ – collected here alongside tracks from their five albums for Island – plus two tracks unavailable on other albums ‘New New York’ and ‘Stars’.

This vinyl shall only be available on the shelves of participating independent record shops on 17th July 2021 as part of the second Record Store Day UK Drop event.

Speaking on their involvement in the campaign, Fergal Lawler of The Cranberries said, “We are very honoured that Universal have chosen Stars as a special Vinyl release for Record Store Day.  The proceeds from sales are going to the War Child foundation, a charity that do incredible work to help vulnerable children in war-torn countries.”

The Cranberries posted a message on their Twitter and Facebook accounts today to mark Saint Patrick’s Day (in lockdown for the 2nd time in Ireland).

A rare behind the scenes photo (Polaroid) of the Zombie music video was recently re-shared by alexverveboy on his blog and Facebook. The photo was originally shared on hungertv.com (slide gallery) by director Samuel Bayer. Real gem!
