As you may have already seen on socials, earlier today The Cranberries posted a video and a photo on Instagram from the famous Abbey Road Studios in London where they are currently remastering “Everybody Else…” for the album’s 25th anniversary.

As a reminder the classic album counts 12 tracks:

Let’s note the band earlier mentioned they would be including some unreleased tracks and other bonus material from the era on this anniversary edition of the album. The fans already know of 5 unreleased songs from this period, thanks to bootleg recordings, as some of these were played a few times live in concert in the early years:

The question is… have all these songs been recorded in studio back then?
And what about some more unknown songs we would never have heard about, is there at least one or two somewhere?
Could the 25th Anniversary Album be an ultimate double CD/LP including all those 23 or more songs?
Time will tell… but today, the remastering has just started and it’s a bit of a nice news at this difficult time!

The director’s cut of one of Ireland’s most memorable and best-loved tourism ads has been shared to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Cranberries seminal debut album, Everybody Else is Doing it, So Why Can’t We, which was released in 1993.

The album “No Need To Argue” will be reissued on colored vinyl again and again. Two more colors are coming: “White” and “Pink & Orange”. One color really makes sense and one really doesn’t…

Still made by the label Plain, both versions will be released on 4 May 2018 and do not seem to be limited. A possible oversight (?) as all previous NNTA colored vinyl reissues were limited.

The Gold vinyl reissue of the album “No Need To Argue” was released yesterday. Below the first image published on Instagram today:

And here comes another colored vinyl reissue of the album “No Need To Argue”. This time GOLD. It’s a “Urban Outfitters” exclusive and available on their U.S. and Canadian stores only.
The vinyl will be released on March 30, 2018 and you can already preorder it for $29.90 + shipping.

No official details about the label for now however, according to an eBay seller, the item would be limited to 1,500 and made by Plain Recordings, the label who already released 7 other colored vinyls of this very album.

Still about Urban Outfitters, the shop, which is more like a fashion & clothing store than a record store, is also selling another (and exclusive?) version of The Cranberries debut album on vinyl. Still their U.S. and Canadian stores only.
Weirdly enough, their title and description are announcing the regular 12-track album when their photo shows the “Complete Sessions” version, which would be a first on vinyl. So where’s the mistake… time will tell! Release date is April 3, 2018 and you can already preorder it for $29.98 + shipping.

You may remember the behind the scenes photo posted on Instagram on July 21, 2017 by Polish journalist Piotr Pasztaleniec. He also wrote “I finally met Dolores, soon in tv…” but we have had no news since!

It seems, though, that the interview was indeed broadcast on Polish TV, on TVP2. We have no details about the exact date of broadcast nor the name of the TV show, the only thing we know is the interview was given in June 2017.

Fortunately, we found out today that the interview was published 2 days following Dolores’ passing on the website pytanienasniadanie.tvp.pl, and in HD 1080!

Our thoughts go out to our favorite drummer on this special day!

Photo off “Uncertain” video

The limited “No Need To Argue” purple vinyl reissue has been released and shipped last week. Some customers just received their copy and first images appeared on the internet, for example on eBay or Instagram. Let’s note that all those colored vinyl reissues are making debat regarding the sound quality. Here is what Instagram user neemus says about this purple LP:

[…] And even though I should’ve known better, even though PLAIN’s reputation is real, I went and ordered it. *Sigh* This thing sounds awful. Terrible. So compressed and lifeless, mp3 sounds better. Zombie has that fantastic bass line and unfortunately you can’t even enjoy it. They went straight from CD without even bothering to tweak the mix, yet again. FAIL

The Cranberries debut album “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” turns 25 today! The band first album was released on 1 March 1993. This could have been such a great anniversary…

We’re sending love, at this very difficult time, to the lads: Fergal, Noel and Mike as well as to you, Dolores, wherever you are… 25 years ago you guys released an absolute masterpiece!

Only 2 songs recorded (Zombie, Liar) as taper explains, “This is a rough, live audience recording of the last two songs The Cranberries performed as the opener for Duran Duran. The Cranberries performance that night was magical and sweet. I only got the tail end of the performance as they were opening for Duran Duran.”

Rare bootleg video recorded by Peter de Jong from the audience in Utrecht at Vredenburg on 8 February 1995 and shared on his YouTube account today. 480p black & white. (color version exists!)

Absolute goldmine!
Cranberries fan Alan Martin has published on Twitter a photo showing memorabilia, including a setlist, a newspaper ad and a live audio cassette recorded at The Parkway in 1991.
On the setlist, we can read Atosa (Iosa) played two times on that show… and regarding Alan’s tweet, he taped it!
So this would be a second and third live recorded version of the song, the first and only one version available until now was recorded at University Of London Union on the 14 November 1991.
