Earlier this month, a fashion show put on in Manila, Philippines, “showcased a hodgepodge of classic and experimental British fashion.” Part of the gala, entitled “Through the Looking Glass,” showcased designer’s interpretations of British icons, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, David Beckham, the fictional James Bond, and none other than The Cranberries’ own Dolores O’Riordan.

O’Riordan’s look-alike model was handled by two award-winning fashion designers. Willy de la Vega, champion of Hair Asia’s Salon Spectacular competition, designed the hair in tribute to Dolores’ distinctive look. De la Vega collaborated with noted designer Lito Perez, former President of the Fashion Designers’ Association of the Philippines, who is currently a designer for Camp Suki, which specializes in costumes and exotic clothing.

“Through the Looking Glass” was held earlier in February at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manila. The fashion show was part of a celebration of the “UK Fortnight,” a two-week long festival held by Filipino British Council to showcase “all things British.”
