Andy Rourke posted a link to an interview he recently gave to Warp Magazine on his twitter account.
The bass player of The Smiths was touring as a DJ in North America this month. Let’s note that Dolores O’Riordan and Olé Koretsky apparently travelled with him to Los Angeles San Francisco and Chicago. See below a picture of Andy and Dolores in Chicago posted by a friend of them on Facebook.
On the eve of his set in Mexico, Andy answered Raúl Arce questions – click here if you want to read the whole interview published online in Spanish – and revealed amongst many other things that Jetlag (NYC), his musical project with Dolores and Olé, is going well and that the band is planning on going on tour this summer.
For those who do not speak Spanish, here is a translation found on DO’RSpain (thanks to them):
“I’m working with Dolores at the moment in a project called Jetlag. She was very sure that she wanted to be in a new band, a new adventure. So I sent her some songs and she loved them. She’s been singing them all. We’re planning to go on the road in the summer”
