New date, July 27th, for the upcoming interview at SPIN South West radio. Below the new message published yesterday on Noel’s Facebook:

SPIN South West sets out to prove that the South West contains some of Ireland’s most creative individuals, with a new arts/culture series “Smart Arts” that starts this coming Friday, June 29th. Over five consecutive Fridays, everything from knitwear design to literature to film-making and design to rock and pop stardom will all be covered in this profiling series.
The Cranberries and guitarist Noel Hogan speaks to SPIN on July 27th. Ever wonder who was beyond the album cover for DJ Shadow’s seminal hip-hop record Entroducing? None other than Limerick’s Brian Cross, aka B+, who has spent the past two decades in LA, writing, filming, photographing, and djing, and is featured on the July 20th edition of “Smart Arts”.

Refund requests via Ticketmaster for European shows

June 15, 2012  |  3 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

It seems numerous fans who bought tickets for the London show and Spanish shows on Ticketmaster (.co.uk /.es) are struggling to receive a refund as they live abroad. Some reported they emailed and called Ticketmaster but never got any answer!

Please, do feel free to let us a comment if you know anything about Ticketmaster’s refunds so we can know how many people are concerned and how to help them.
If you’re English, Spanish or from anywhere else but you do know how to obtain an answer from Ticketmaster or how to get a refund, we’d be grateful if you could share your experience to help those who are meeting difficulties.

Thanks

New songs in the oven for The Cranberries

June 12, 2012  |  2 Comments  |  by Luc  |  The Cranberries

In an interview on Voice of America last month in Washington D.C. for “Border Crossings”, The Cranberries told host Larry London that they were starting to write new songs for a possible seventh album. Noel explained that the band will take its time before recording these new tracks though.

We’re not gonna rush into it, when we think it’s ready, we’ll do it. We learned from our mistakes. Before, we might have gone into do an album before we were actually prepared for it. Later on, it’s when you listen back to it, you think I could have done better.

Last promo performance went under the radar [Update #2]

June 12, 2012  |  1 Comments  |  by Luc  |  The Cranberries

On May 14th The Cranberries were guests at “Border Crossings” on Voice of America (VOA) where they performed “Linger” and “Raining in My Heart”. Unfortunately, it seems like this performance went under the radar in the fan community as the band did not announce it on socials as they used to. Remember that during the Winter promo tour Noel Hogan usually informed the fans via his Twitter account now closed.

Fortunately the good people of Voice of America sent us the mp3 of the interview and performances and gave us permission to post it on CW.
Many thanks to them!

Cranberries and Dolores fan communities are now closed

June 8, 2012  |  20 Comments  |  by Luc  |  Dolores O'Riordan, The Cranberries

Sad day for The Cranberries fan community: both the group and Dolores’ official fan community sites have been closed today. Last month a spokeperson from the band team informed fans that both communities would close in June as the band decided to only use Facebook for communication with/between fans.

Few weeks earlier Noel Hogan also closed his Twitter account. Noel was the only band member to interact with fans on the internet and pass on some useful information about the band performances and reactions.

Let’s hope that the band will use their Facebook account more frequently to inform and interact with fans when they get back to work in October. From 1998 to 2003, Fergal (and sometimes other members of the band) wrote some messages to fans while touring and recording albums. Those messages, originally posted on the band’s website, can still be found here.

Noel Hogan makes the most of The Cranberries sudden pause by working on some “potential new Mono Band tracks”.

The Cranberries postponed their Summer Tour, as lead singer Dolores O’ Riordan needed a couple of month to rest. The band will resume their tour activities next October.

Last April, Mono Band released a track featuring Finn Chambers on the “Life Support” compilation. You can listen to the track (“Won’t Leave No More”) and buy the album here

The Cranberries official statement; Dolores apologizes to fans

June 4, 2012  |  3 Comments  |  by Luc  |  The Cranberries

The Cranberries and their managing company have released an official statement published on their official website today about their Summer tour cancelation.

For personal reasons I would prefer to keep private, it turns out that this is not a good time for me to be on the road this Summer. I apologize to the fans and promise that The Cranberries will be at our best for the rescheduled shows.

The Cranberries World team wishes Dolores all the rest she needs this Summer with her family and friends.

“Waiting In Walthamstow” second single (?)

June 2, 2012  |  3 Comments  |  by Camille  |  The Cranberries

Numerous fans noticed a UK 1-track promo CD of “Waiting in Walthamstow” on eBay no more than two weeks ago, which led people to wonder whether this song could possibly be The Cranberries new single.

Difficult to know whether this information is true as no one could verify if this CD is a fake or not especially as the cover appeared to be that of Tomorrow’s single.

However, doubts are slowly vanishing away as another user listed one of these promo CDs, which tends to show that “Waiting in Walthamstow” might definitely be the next single in the UK!
