July 14, 2020  |  4 Comments  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

30 years ago today, The Cranberry Saw Us – not yet The Cranberries – played their first concert with Dolores O’Riordan as new lead singer replacing Niall Quinn. They were opening that day for the band They Do It With Mirrors. The show took place in Limerick at Cruises Hotel in the Ruby’s Club.

Happy Anniversary!!

RARE PICS: Noel and Fergal backstage at Theatre Royal in 1994(?)

Rare photos from 1994(?) taken backstage at Theatre Royal in Limerick during a break when The Cranberries were recording “Zombie”. Fergal had just cut his long hair and Noel cut his shortly after for the “Zombie” video.

Koretsky’s new EP “MMXX” out today

July 10, 2020  |  Comments Off on Koretsky’s new EP “MMXX” out today  |  by Axl  |  Other News

Olé Koretsky announced on Twitter and Instagram today the release of his new EP titled “MMXX”.
Stream/download here.

The EP features the track “Heartbreaker” which Cranberries fans are familiar with as Olé used to play it when presenting D.A.R.K. tracks Live PA as opener of The Cranberries on their 2017 tour.

One may thus wonder if the other unreleased tracks Olé played live on this tour will ever be released – and as solo material or D.A.R.K.? Let’s note that some of them featured Dolores’ voice so we could expect them to make it on the second album of D.A.R.K. that was already recorded when Dolores passed away and will hopefully see the light one day.

“MMXX” also includes an interesting cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U”.
Let Olé know what you think of his work!

“NNTA (Remastered)” now available to buy on The Cranberries online store

The 2LP, 2CD, 1CD versions of “No Need To Argue (Remastered)” are now available to buy on The Cranberries official online store but not the Transparent Vinyl version (yet?).

Interesting fact, the edition on the store is simply titled “Remastered” and not 25th Anniversary nor Expanded, even if description reads “Remastered and expanded versions of No Need To Argue”.
