EEIDI 25th Anniversary boxset: tracklist details confirmed

August 29, 2018  |  Comments Off on EEIDI 25th Anniversary boxset: tracklist details confirmed  |  by Axl  |  The Cranberries

Amazon.co.uk is currently updating their pages with some more details that pretty much come as a confirmation of our tracklist guess:

Indeed, disc 2 will be featuring:
– probably already known b-sides versions released on the Complete Sessions 1991-1993 (tracks 5-10)
– Uncertain EP (tracks 11-14)
– Dreams unmixed demo (track 15)
– Dreams pop mixed demo (track 21)
– “early demos” that seem to be those featured on the Water Circle tape (16-20) though Shine Down wasn’t on the tape, which means these could be unknown demos!

Unfortunately, no info yet as per this Íosa version which is featured on the “studio/demo” CD so fingers crossed this hopefully shouldn’t be one of the known live versions.

As for disc 3, it looks that it will indeed feature the live recording of the band’s July 31st 1994 performance at Féile festival.

Although disc 4 no longer appears on the page, it’s pretty clear to us it will feature the following radio shows : 1991 Dave Fanning Show (1-4), 1992 John Peel Show (5-8), 1993 Dave Fanning Show (9-12)

This it it! Amazon UK just updated their page and opened pre-order for the Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? 25th anniversary edition boxset.

The album will be released on 19 October 2018 and seems to be featuring a large booklet along with some never seen before printed photos of the band:

Click here to preorder on Amazon UK. Other Amazon countries should appear pretty soon.

As a reminder the tracklist has already been revealed a few days ago, click here to know more about the audio content of the boxset.

Additionally, HMV confirms there will be a 2CD edition with only the content of Disc 1 & 2.
One may note that the remastered album will be released on CD and LP as well (1-disc only for both):

It seems unlikely a vinyl boxset will see the light of day but we never know…

Limerick man wants to see Hurlers and Dolores honoured in mural

BREAKING: EEIDI “25th Anniversary Edition” album tracklist revealed (UPDATED)

August 26, 2018  |  16 Comments  |  by Webmaster  |  The Cranberries

A new boxset featuring 4 CDs appeared these last days on Amazon (Italy, France and UK), it’s non available for sale nor pre-order yet and will be released by Universal/Island. The price is £40.75 that is to say, more or less €45 and $53.

No doubt this is the first preview we’ve got of the Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? 25th Anniversary Edition that is to be released in September.

The tracklist appears as follows:

DISC 1

  1. I Still Do
  2. Dreams
  3. Sunday
  4. Pretty
  5. Waltzing Back
  6. Not Sorry
  7. Linger
  8. Wanted
  9. Still Can’t…
  10. I Will Always
  11. How
  12. Put Me Down

DISC 2

  1. Íosa
  2. What You Were
  3. Linger
  4. How
  5. Liar
  6. What You Were
  7. Reason
  8. How
  9. Them
  10. Pretty
  11. Uncertain
  12. Nothing Left At All
  13. Pathetic Senses
  14. Them (Xeric)
  15. Dreams
  16. Sunday
  17. Linger
  18. Chrome Paint
  19. Fast One
  20. Shine Down
  21. Dreams

DISC 3

  1. Put Me Down
  2. Dreams
  3. Uncertain
  4. Pretty
  5. Wanted
  6. Daffodil Lament
  7. Linger
  8. I Can’t Be With You
  9. How
  10. Ode To My Family
  11. Not Sorry
  12. Waltzing Back
  13. Dreams
  14. Ridiculous Thoughts
  15. Zombie
  16. (They Long To Be) Close To You

DISC 4

  1. Dreams
  2. Uncertain
  3. Reason
  4. Put Me Down
  5. Waltzing Back
  6. Linger
  7. Wanted
  8. I Will Always
  9. The Icicle Melts
  10. Wanted
  11. Like You Used To
  12. False

From what we see, we can imagine that:
Disc 1 is the remastered version of the album
Disc 2 features demo/studio versions of the songs (1-10?), as well as the Uncertain album (11-14?) & the Water Circle tape (16-19?), and the two never heard before demo versions of Dreams that Noel Hogan recently found on a tape (“very first demo” of Dreams that isn’t mixed as Noel took the cassette home before any mixing was done, and a “pop mix” featuring a different intro and outro)
Disc 3 could be a live concert (or live tracks) from the 93/94 era that very likely looks like the July 31st 1994 concert at Feile Tipperary Festival from tracks 4-16 though from what we know, the performance was starting with Sunday instead of Put Me Down/Dreams/Uncertain…
Disc 4 looks like radio sessions tracks starting with the 1991 Dave Fanning Show (1-4), the 1992 John Peel Show (5-8), and the 1993 Dave Fanning Show (9-12)

Thanks to Stephane for the finding and to Edward for his analysis of Disc 3!

UPDATE – AUGUST 28

– It seems a 2 CD version will be available as well as Amazon.es and Amazon.fr both listed a Barclay release with Disc 1 and Disc 2 content only.
Will there be more versions?

– Concerning disc 3, some of our readers are saying the first 3 tracks (just before the Féile 94 show) could be from Cork Rocks 1991. Until now, only “Uncertain” and “Dreams” have surfaced taken from the Dave Fanning Show. Definitely a high probability!!

– On Amazon UK the price decreased, it’s now £34.48

“Croatia” demo surfaced

August 19, 2018  |  6 Comments  |  by Axl  |  Dolores O'Riordan

Out of the blue, the demo version of the still unreleased song “Croatia” recently surfaced on the internet. It was posted on YouTube on the ‘Cranberries Music Video Edits’ channel.
Please note the images in this video are nothing official, obviously, and only the audio part really counts.

As you may know, the song is actually a Dolores O’Riordan solo song (AYL era) not The Cranberries.
Thanks for this gem!

Tributes to Dolores continue

August 18, 2018  |  Comments Off on Tributes to Dolores continue  |  by Axl  |  Dolores O'Riordan, The Cranberries

More than 7 months after the passing of Dolores, tributes all over the world continue. We can’t review them all as they are too many, however let’s note 3 interesting ones which just happened these last few days:

The first tribute is currently hanging proudly at Connolly’s Cross, Co.Limerick. It was made by the art school ‘Class Art Studio’ from Ballyadam, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick. Over 30 children worked on different parts of the mural, each painting an individual butterfly inspired by The Cranberries song “Just My Imagination”.
More photos on the Class Art Studio’s Facebook.

Second tribute to notice concerns a band called ‘whenyoung’ who covered “Dreams” to pay their respect to a band who inspired them. The band members grew up in Limerick too…
The song is now available on Spotify and you can watch below the video posted on Vevo/YouTube:

The 3rd interesting tribute just happened a few hours ago on the Irish TV channel RTÉ One where the national school choir from Moyross, The Corpus Christi School Choir, performed “Dreams” in a show called ‘Up For The Match’ ahead of this Sunday’s All Ireland Final.
The performance was just posted on YouTube:
