In a recent poll posted on Entertainment Weekly Online, the popular magazine asked visitors to pick their favorite Irish musician(s). Shockingly, The Cranberries pulled out a clear lead, over double the closest competition, U2. As of today, The Crans hold 59.41% of the vote, U2 holds 28.17%, The Corrs with 3.78%, The Pogues with 2.01% and Van Morrison in fifth with a meager 1.71%. Tough luck to Enya, Sinead O’Connor, and everyone else… they’re all further down on the list.
