April’s release of the lavish boxed set consisting of the band’s first four albums hasn’t jeopardized the release of a “greatest hits” compilation later this year, according to a statement by Universal Canada.
In a statement released today by Universal Canada, the company confirmed that the band’s plans for a Greatest Hits disc later this year are still intact. Also included in the brief comment is a reference to “bonus tracks” and “new versions” of songs for the April boxed set release. “The Cranberries issued a press release on January 14th explaining their plans for 2002, which include: a catalogue re-issue planned for March 2002, including bonus tracks, new versions etc.,” said the post, “and in the fall of 2002 they’re planning on releasing a greatest hits package. Stay tuned for more information.” The “fall 2002” timeframe is slightly ahead of the “November-December” timeframe given earlier.
Check back soon for more information on the upcoming boxed set and greatest hits releases!
