Island and Universal Records have released an advanced set of next month’s boxed set “Treasure Box” to media outlets in the UK. We can immediately see that all of the promised “bonus tracks” are common B-sides, which presents a bit of a problem — more on that later.

The reports of both 21 and 22 bonus tracks are both, in a sense, correct. Strictly speaking, the set has 21 bonus tracks. However, “Sorry Son”, a track included on the UK version of “Bury the Hatchet,” but not the US version, could be counted as another B-side. The song is listed here as part of the core “Bury the Hatchet” album.

Here are some of the B-sides that we can confirm will make their way onto the boxed set:

Reason
Liar
What You Were
Away
(They Long to Be) Close to You
I Don’t Need
So Cold in Ireland
Zombie (Camel’s Hump Remix) (by The Orb)
The Picture I View
Cordell
Go Your Own Way
Sorry Son
Baby Blues
Sweetest Thing
Woman Without Pride
Such a Shame
Paparazzi on Mopeds

With so much previously-available material, even the most dedicated fans will find it hard to give away $60 for a set whose only unique value may be aesthetic. Zombieguide will have the full tracklisting right here as soon as its made available, so be sure to check back! There may be some surprises yet…
