Exclusive: “Treasure Box” cover art

MCA Records in Europe has begun distributing a multi-media presentation to media outlets in Europe to promote “Wake Up and Smell the Coffee” and the newest release of “Treasure Box” — which is how our journalist contributor Jessica got ahold of this. The presentation confirms the previously-reported track listing and also shows the cover art for the first time.

The new art for the boxed set is designed by Cally, the band’s original art director. Cally originally produced the art for the first three albums, but has not done any work for The Cranberries since the 1996 release of “To the Faithful Departed.” Since 1999’s “Bury the Hatchet” nearly all of the art design (and website design!) has been in the hands of Pink Floyd veteran Storm Thorgerson.

The boxed set has been subtitled “The Complete Sessions 1991-1999”, following the tradition set by “Bury the Hatchet”‘s rerelease.

Huge thanks to Jessica van Kessel for sending this our way.
