“TITO” and “TITD” denied for US release

A representative for The Cranberries has told Zombieguide this week that which we could already assume: neither “Time is Ticking Out” nor “This is the Day” will be seeing a release in the United States. “The USA never releases any singles by The Cranberries,” the representative told us, but that both singles “will be released in all the usual territories.”

This should come with little surprise to those familiar to release practices in the US, wherein few singles from any artists get a release. Americans were given a rare treat in November with the stateside release of “Analyse,” though it was identical to the European release. Prior to “Analyse,” the United States had not been given a single since 1996’s “Free to Decide/When You’re Gone,” making it the band’s first non-LP release in over five years.
