Last night, the show “Infoplus” on French-Canadian station MusiquePlus aired a brand new interview with The Cranberries recorded on Friday in Montréal. The show included a brand new interview with the band along with live footage from Friday’s concert at the Molson Center.
On the interview, the band confirmed their future plans for both a “Greatest Hits” disc and a future sixth album. The band told MusiquePlus that the “Greatest Hits” CD (tentative title) will be released this October and will include two new songs, which will most likely be recorded this summer with producer Bennedict Fenner.
On the subject of the next album, for which songs the first songs have already been written, Mike Hogan commented that, “We hope to release the sixth album within a year, before the fall 2003…” Plans for the sixth album are still very tentative, but stay tuned to Zombieguide and we’ll keep you informed.
That’s the word for now — major thanks to Insider27 and ElectricBlue for the info.
