Looking to feel the love this February, your favorite music retailer may just have a little belated Valentine for fans of The Cranberries with the upcoming release of the original motion picture soundtrack for Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. The forthcoming film features the first taste of Dolores O’Riordan’s solo material; and the movie soundtrack will most likely contain Dolores O’Riordan’s Latin acapella for the movie, with the possible title “Croatia”. According to grassroots.com, the soundtrack for The Passion of the Christ will be released on Tuesday, February 24th. That’s one day prior to the film’s theatrical release, and ten days after Valentine’s Day for those who crave the sweet sound of Dolores’s voice in lieu of traditional chocolates. Zombieguide will keep you posted as more details about the film and its soundtrack begin to surface.

Contrary to previous reports, the final score was done primarily by John Debney (Spy Kids, The Princess Diaries) with help from Lisa Gerrard and others. Zombieguide will have more on The Passion of the Christ: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack when we know it.
