Zombieguide has learned that Dolores O’Riordan originally founded Helter Limited, the company under which she is recording her solo projects, in order to open a restaurant, only later to change those plans.

Public business documents obtained by Zombieguide show that Dolores O’Riordan registered Helter Limited on February 28, 2003 in order to “carry on business as proprietors and operators
of retaurants, hotels, cafes, public houses, [and] catering establishments,” according to the registration documents. One document shows that Dolores planned to open a restaurant on Main Street in Caherconlish, Co. Limerick.

However, a month later, on March 20, 2003, Helter Ltd. filed a Special Resolution in order to change the company’s purpose. The new resolution allows Helter Ltd. to “undertake and make recordings of music whether piano or orchestral, band or other music of any kind.” The form also gives Helter Limited the permission to “manufacture, produce, and distribute… and deal in recordings in tapes, gramophone records of all kinds.” Dolores’s appearances on Songs Inspired by the Passion of
the Christ, Tripomatic Fairytales 3003, Evilenko and Zucchero & Co. have all been through Helter Ltd.

In 2000, Dolores told Hot Press magazine that she and her husband Don Burton plan to open a Japanese benihana restaurant one day.
