The Italian TV show “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” hosted Dolores O’Riordan in their most recent episode. Check out the screenshots below, and get the link to download the video in the Forums. [LINK NO LONGER AVAILABLE]

Dolores touched on some new subjects on the interview, namely why she chose to title her album Are You Listening?, and what she wanted to accomplish by staying out of the public eye for the last 4 years.

The title Are You Listening? “is not about making a big statement. When you arrive with an album after you’ve already had a career with a band, I think you would be expected to make a big statement like ‘HERE I AM!’ or something, ‘MY DEBUT SOLO RECORD’ or whatever. I just wanted to be a little unpredictable maybe, come out with something di erent. So Are You Listening? is a subtle, soft way to phrase that.”

About her 4-year sabbatical, she says, “I know this sounds really boring, but I really wanted to be all alone with my family. I wanted to get to the point where I didn’t need helpers in my family or anything — I could just do everything myself. … I didn’t have any website or anything like that because I really, geniuinely wanted to be anonymous. This is what I needed to write new songs.”

It appears that Dolores recently got a haircut, as her hair is shorter in this video than in the press photos from Spain earlier this month.
