In a Twitter message today, Cranberries’ guitarist Noel Hogan said that he is going into studio with guest vocalist(s) on Friday to record tracks for the second Mono Band album.
Last June, Gohan Records revealed that Hogan was working on a new 4-track Mono Band EP. According to today’s tweet, it looks like the EP has now become an album.
There is no word yet on who will be the vocalists on the upcoming album. The 2005 album featured tracks by singers Alexandra Hamnede, Richard Walters, Kate Havnevik, Nicolas Leroux, Fin Chambers and Angie Hart.
Mono Band is a side project started by Hogan in 2004, during The Cranberries hiatus. You can buy Mono Band’s first album on Gohan Records website.
