The BBC 4 is still repeating original Top Of The Pops programmes. After Linger, Dreams and Zombie last year, the episode with “Salvation” first broadcast on 18 April 1996 aired 2 weeks ago.

For UK residents the episode is available another 2 weeks on the BBC iPlayer up to 1080p50. For the rest of the world the performance was shared on YouTube by user TopOfThePopsFan. A great upgrade for many fans!

Scottish musician Iain Cook, composer, producer, and member of the pop band Chvrches made a remix of “Linger” by deconstructing the original and reassembling it, keeping intact the vocal melody of Dolores.

Officially approved by The Cranberries, Fergal said in a statement posted on the band’s socials (TwitterX, Instagram), “Iain did an outstanding job in remixing Linger. He reimagined the song completely, creating a fresh and upbeat version of this classic”

The remix was released last week on all streaming platforms and YouTube
