Many of those who were waiting impatiently for their Caen 2-CD set from Concert Live got a sour surprise in their mailbox this week.
Unlike specified on their website, Concert Live sent their e-customers the 3-disk set, which was previously available at the Caen concert. This edition does not include any information (name of the venue, date, tracklist), as it was burned and packaged right after the Caen gig, for on-site customers. Internet buyers received that 3-disk set, but with the encore already burned on CD 2, leaving the third disk unused and irrelevant in this CD set.
Several fans who attended the Caen show had already bought that 3-CD set and payed back another 20 pounds for the 2-CD set… but got another copy of the 3-CD set instead.
Contacted on this matter, Concert Live indicated that “2 Disc versions with a track list are only available 6 months after the tour is finished”, an information contradictory with the product description on their website and the London CD set.
For the London show, most e-customers received the 2-CD set, with credit information and track list printed on the sleeve. Some other buyers randomly received the 3-CD set, though.
Some other fans did not mind the mix up, as the musical content was much important than the artwork for them.
As for the digital edition of the London show available on iTunes and Amazon since December 3, some fans reported that the audio files were not edited and that the CD fade-in/fade-out were also on the digital files.
