Noel Hogan on stage yesterday for charity event

January 13, 2018  |  1 Comments  |  by Axl  |  Noel Hogan

Noel Hogan was one of the surprise special guests yesterday at “Metis Ireland”, an event in aid of 2 local charities, Pieta House and Limerick Suicide Watch. Concert held in Limerick at Dolan’s Warehouse, the famous local pub, so yes Noel kinda played home.

After Dolores last month, it’s was Noel’s turn to appear on stage to play 2 Cranberries songs “Zombie” and “Linger”.

Singer Emma Langford posted on Facebook a video of “Zombie” with the following comment:

It was *just a bit* nerve-wracking singing Zombie with its actual writer playing guitar right behind me…
Kind of incredible though?
Na… Totally. Totally incredible.

Thanks – endless immeasurable thanks – to Karl Daly of Metis Ireland for making this gig happen; to Dolans Pub for hosting the occasion; to all the artists who gave their time and talents and to everyone who came out to support Pieta House and Limerick Suicide Watch; to Dan Murphy and Dermot Sheedy of Hermitage Green, Nile St. James and Cein Daly for sharing a stage with me; and Noel Hogan of The Cranberries for writing such an epic tune, giving his time, and allowing us to perform it on a great night full of great intentions for a great cause.

I love Limerick, and music.

On the official Twitter of “Metis Ireland” you can also find a short video of “Linger” as well as a few photos of Noel (with a new haircut!) on stage and offstage drinking in the pub:

Nice… but Noel isn’t the writer of the song, as the singer said.
It was written by Dolores alone.
