“Zombie” hit 1,000,000,000 views on YouTube

HIP HIP HIP, HOORAY!
The official “Zombie” music video just hit 1 billion views on YouTube/VEVO today at 2:40 pm (Irish Time). Congratulations to The Cranberries, the fans and all the viewers for the achievement. If you’re reading this, you are probably one of the billion!

To celebrate, the 480p standard version of The Cranberries biggest hit should be replaced by a remastered 4K version available very soon. MASTERPIECE.


UPDATE – 3:15 PM (Irish Time)

At 2:40 pm exactly, The Cranberries posted on their socials (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) a message signed by Fergal Lawler, and including a 31-second video:

Just one minute after, at 2:41 pm, a message was posted on the official Dolores O’Riordan Facebook:

    Congratulations all, yes, it’s a real pity that Dolores isn’t here on earth for this phenomenal milestone. But I’m sure she’s looking down with a huge smile on her beautiful face. Onwards and upwards now lads and more luck to you all. From a Limerick man living in Canada. And yes, I was one of the ones that played it on quite a few occasions, after all it’s such a great song with a lovely rhythm entirely.
