    hi guys
this is off topic but I remember there was a rumor about a movie staring Dolores as a signer , what ever happened to it?

    • Simon

Only a rumor. It was never true.

    • Richard

It wasn’t a rumour. It was going to from the same guy that directed Evilenko. The cast was in place, but i believe they never got funding. It was supposed to be a murder mystery, where a famous singer played by Dolores is murdered at the beginning, I think it was supposed to be called “Secrets of Love” I had a pdf of a movie studio funding solicitation on my old computer. I’ll have to search for it. It’s a shame it never happened.

    guys check this out:

Offscreen: So you are shooting another film with Malcolm and with Badalamenti composing the score. What is it about?

Grieco: It is a film noir called Secrets of Love which I’m shooting in Malta proper. It’s a very old-fashioned film noir like Touch of Evil or Double Indemnity. It’s very dark, very passionate. It’s the story of a famous singer who is murdered and no one knows who the killer is three years later and the people in her personal life are consuming each other to figure out who killed her. Malcolm says it’s a Hitchcock-type movie, but I think it is more like an Orson Welles work —more about destiny and passion

See link as well. I’m going to go searching for that PDF that showed the rest of the cast. I want to say at the time Viggo Mortensen was rumoured to play her husband but someone else was cast. Also, it was never confirmed but I always assumed The Butterfly was written for this movie.

I think Dolores had the worst manager ever, she had so many potential but she lost so many opportunities that a stablished artist shouldn’t do , she should’ve started her solo career much earlier , she should’ve done the Titanic song she should’ve done that collabration with Moby, she should not apeared in that Sandler movie and …

  5. John

Her ex-husband was her manger I guess.

Wasn’t it her husband and her brother that basically managed things? They must have had her best interest in mind. I figure that since she didn’t star in any films it is because she wasn’t really interested. It’s too bad. But I tell you what, if it had been that the only film she had starred in was one in whcih she was murdered at the very start, that would have sucked even more.

So did anything come of the event?
