Dolores O’Riordan was inducted in the Limerick Hall Of Fame during the “Limerick Person of the Year 2018” gala award ceremony that was held at the Clayton Hotel in Limerick this afternoon.
The “Limerick Person of the Year 2018” appears to be a different event from the “Limerick’s All Time Great” competition that Dolores O’Riordan won by a massive margin just a few days ago.
This gala award aims at honoring an individual or group of individuals who best exemplified the spirit of Limerick in 2018, so today, Limerick Hurlers were named “Limerick Persons of the Year 2018” and members of the team received the award.
Members of Dolores’ family also took part in the ceremony as details of a new Limerick Hall of Fame that is being established were also announced during the event, with the late Cranberries lead singer being the first inductee. Dolores’ mother Eileen was also presented with a special framed Limerick Leader newspaper article to mark the announcement according to the article posted after the ceremony.
Limerick Leader’s journalist Áine Fitzgerald posted a few photos of the ceremony on Twitter this afternoon, including a pic of the Hurlers with Dolores’ family, giving the song “Dreams” was the anthem of the team:

Title says it all. Dolores wins easily. Congratulations!
Thanks to The Cranberries community and all the others who voted for her. Well deserved.
The Limerick Leader should say more about it pretty soon…
UPDATE – FEBRUARY 19
The Limerick Leader just published an article to confirm Dolores O’Riordan has been named “Limerick’s All Time Great”.
They commented:
“Dolores is an exceptionally worthy winner of Limerick’s All Time Great,” said Eugene Phelan, editor of the Limerick Leader. “She is an iconic figure in world music but never forget her Limerick roots and her love for her native place. We are proud that she has been named the All Time Great after an exceptionally popular series of online polls. All 16 candidates would have made for a worthy winner, but there can only be one!”

Oldie but goldie!
This is a very rare CD-R containing demo/early versions of songs that would appear on “AYL?”
Some fans might not have heard them all before… and for the others it’s probably been a while!
Let’s note that the demo version of “Without You” never really surfaced before and the title “Apple Of My Life” on this CD-R became “Apple Of My Eye” on the “Are You Listening?” album. [EDIT: Fox Music probably made this CD-R to pass on to various music supervisors. Seems like a title transcribed too fast, just a mistake, as Dolores sings “eye” in this demo.]

“In The End” just appeared on iTunes revealing tracklist order as well as duration of “All Over Now” (4:16)
10 tracks!!
Let’s note that the track “Crazy Heart” does not feature on the album unlike what we initially thought.
[UPDATE]
It seems iTunes (France and Italy) got the tracklist wrong as all other platforms (including The Cranberries official webstore) announced “Crazy Heart” as track #8 as well as a different tracklist order.

Big day today in the Cranberries world, the band just updated their official website cranberries.com as well as all their socials with the cover of their new – and last – studio album “In The End”, along with a long statement to explain the process of the album. No release date has been announced yet, hopefully soon… (possibly Spring 2019)
Also, to mark the first anniversary of Dolores’s passing, they will be releasing the first single “All Over Now” on the 15th of January.
In The End – album cover
You might recognize Noel’s son, Dylan, holding a guitar on the left, where his father is used to standing on stage. Although the other 3 kids are not yet known, we can imagine they are kids from Fergal, Mike and Dolores’ family.
EDIT: The little Emma is indeed the daughter of one of Dolores’ nieces and the name of little boy on the bass is William, son of Tommy O’Carroll and Kay O’Carroll. No more details about his link with Mike yet; family? or friend? or else?
cranberries.com new homepage
UPDATE – MARCH 11th
More about the kids on the cover…
Emma, alias Dolores O’Riordan, is the daughter of Elaine O’Riordan. Elaine is one of Dolores’ nieces and is the little girl with Dolores in the majestic horse and cart on Dolores’ wedding day.
18 July 1994 – Dolores and Elaine, the mother of Emma
Dylan Hogan, alias Noel Hogan, is Noel’s son. To illustrate, a photo from Noel’s private Instagram account (the one and only time).
24 November 2018 – Father and son, Noel and Dylan Hogan
William O’Carroll, alias Mike Hogan, is Mike’s nephew. Remember the name of Mike’s wife, Siobhan O’Carroll (Thanks to Mat in the comments below). On 18 January 2019, the Meelick National School posted a great photo on Facebook.
18 January 2019 at school – William O’Carroll
In the role of Fergal Lawler, the name of the little boy is still unknown and the only detail that surfaced yet is that he is Fergal’s nephew.
The Cranberries shared on Instagram a photo of the test pressing of the new album “In The End”. A vinyl version will definitely be available! The album is to be released probably in Spring 2019. The exact date is not known yet. Hopefully soon…

“Calendarock 2019” displays rock star drawings by cartoonist José Hernández in collaboration with Revista El Chamuco. Calendar includes all year 2019 plus the months October, November and December 2018.
Below a few close ups, no need to name the rock stars, you should easily recognize them all. Unfortunately there is no close up of Dolores yet!
Thanks to Miguel Hernández via Cranberries Mexico for the info.
Yesterday The Cranberries posted on Instagram a photo of their invitation to the “Conferring of an Honorary Degree of The University of Limerick on The Cranberries”. The band didn’t give any other info at the time, such as the date of the ceremony nor if this was going be a public event or not…etc.
Some fans then commented it could be an Honorary Doctorate.
The Cranberries’ invitation posted on Instagram
Today more details were given in three articles published online on limerickleader.ie, hotpress.com and irishexaminer.com [edit: and even more articles were published during the day]
The ceremony will take place on Friday 18 January to honor all band members. Noel Hogan, Fergal Lawler and Mike Hogan will receive honorary doctorates while a posthumous award will be made to the family of the late Dolores O’Riordan.
The University of Limerick awards honorary doctorates to “individuals who have shown outstanding achievement, nationally or internationally, in the arts, sciences, business, industry, the professions, sport, social service or public service.”
It looks like ceremonies at the Limerick University are reserved to invited guests only, and that dress code applies. All details can be found on the “general information for invited guests” page of the UL’s website.
For those who are not invited to attend, the UL ceremonies seem to be live streamed on this link. For now, there’s no information whether the ceremony in which The Cranberries are part will be available for watching or not.
