“Wake Up And Smell The Coffee” is available on vinyl today and earlier in the morning Cranberries Italia shared on their socials some of the first great photos. Special thanks to them!
As you can see, the edition is pretty basic inside, just one transparent vinyl and the inner sleeve with lyrics and art and that’s pretty much it. No extra bonus, no extra pictures, no double vinyl, no gatefold. So don’t expect too much, this is not an anniversary edition, just the album released for the first time on vinyl.
Thanks to instagram user @musicnostalgia for the first photo of “Wake Up And Smell The Coffee” to be released on transparent vinyl next 22 April for Record Store Day.
UPDATE · 22 April

RTÉ Archives published on their website yesterday a rare video of The Cranberries appearing on the Irish Television programme “Kenny Live”
The band performed “Dreams” 30 years ago on this day (well, yesterday).
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” Island/UMe is releasing the album in Dolby ATMOS.
Fergal says, “The Atmos remixes are a whole different listening experience for us. It feels more like being onstage at a concert, being surrounded by the band. There are certain intricate parts that subtly pop out every now and then, causing you to feel more immersed in the songs”
No need to own a Dolby ATMOS equipment like home cinema or else to experience it (even if that’s the best option), it still works with headphones or any other stereo equipments, delivering a more immersive sound anyway.
Listen to this brand new 30th Anniversary mix immediately and exclusively on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal. All 3 links Here.

Thanks to @CindaUy on Twitter for the screen shot (looks like Apple Music on iPhone) where you can see the new Dolby ATMOS logo.

A rare and previously unpublished video recorded in Portugal in Lisboa on 11 April 2002 surfaced on YouTube 2 days ago. Thanks to user Mónica Moreira for this gem.
A bootleg video of this show recorded from the audience is already well known to the fans.
This time the video is from a professional camera on tripod, probably recorded from the mixing desk as it often is the case for TV crews generally authorized to record the first 2 or 3 songs of a show. It seems this footage was never broadcast anywhere (?)
“Zombie” being the second song of the set, there is a big chance that the first song (Wake Up And Smell The Coffee) was recorded as well.
Dolores O’Riordan (Estate) published on their official website doloresoriordan.com (as well as their socials) a message today.

Now is the turn of D.A.R.K. to post a few words on Facebook and Instagram regarding Angelo Badalamenti’s passing. Just like Dolores O’Riordan (Estate) did on social accounts, a never-before seen photo of the whole band (Andy Rourke, Olé Koretsky, Dolores O’Riordan) with the Maestro was added. Still a photo by Francesca Mor on the same day/evening.
Angelo Badalamenti has died of natural causes yesterday 11 December 2022, he was 85. Mainly known as David Lynch composer he also collaborated with an eclectic mix of singers including Dolores O’Riordan since 2004.
Angelo and Dolores were never in a recording studio together. Their long-distance collaboration resulted in the release of 4 songs, three of them appearing on the soundtrack of “Evilenko” and the fourth one on “For The Record” (a Belgian compilation in support of UNICEF).
- Angels Go To Heaven (Evilenko)
- The Woodstrip / There’s No Way Out (Evilenko)
- The End Of A Madman (Evilenko)
- The Butterfly (For The Record)
in a 2015 interview, Angelo Badalamenti revealed he was working on Dolores’ album, so there might be more unreleased collaborations…
