Noel Hogan has changed the cover picture for his Facebook public page, and it seems like this picture can be a cover for a new release by Mono Band titled “Numan’s Voice.”
Few years ago Noel has recorded demo tracks with Fin Chambers for Mono Band project. It looks like it’s time to finally release them!
Also Johanna Wiseley (The Cranberries’ live back vocalist) has lent her voice for at least one Mono Band song. Let’s hope we’ll finally hear it!

The new version of Linger taken from the upcoming acoustic album “Something Else” recorded with The Irish Chamber Orchestra is premiering today on RollingStone.com in partnership with Vevo.
The Cranberries just posted the link a few hours ago on their socials.
A real exclusive where fans can hear for the very first time how the album is gonna sound.
So, Listen to Linger “in new clothes” (as the band likes to say in their press-releases)
First thing to notice, this is completely new version with orchestral rendition and a new recording of Dolores’ voice. This is not the 1993 vocals, an important detail as a few fans were wondering if Dolores had gone back to studios or not for this album.
Dolores’ vocal sounds very pure and natural – no backing vocals at all! It’s like she is sitting with you in the same room. As for the lads’ accompaniment with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, it sounds very elegant and high class.
Second thing, Linger is the first song unveiled, though it does not necessary mean it is the first single. Remember the press conference in Cancun, Mexico last Frebruary where Dolores said “Why” would be the first single and a video would be filmed in Europe.
Also, the different press releases sent worldwide are announcing “Why” as a single that is soon going to be available digitally.
Is this a last minute change to privilege nostalgia and put an old classic song forward? It does look like this is the band’s choice, as shown by the artwork of Something Else. In this perspective, Linger definitely sounds like the best choice for a first single!
Anyway there’s a good chance the band will play those 2 songs next week on French TV show Taratata and during the other promo appearances. We’ll thus get to know more very soon!
Last thing to note on this great and exclusive Rolling Stones article: two brand new promo pictures were published. A sofa-pose picture -almost the same as the one on the cover of the new album- can be seen in the background of their Vevo video as well as a picture posted in the article where the band is standing on the Mexican streets. Awesome!
On a funny note, let’s last emphasize that the band updated their website, introducing “Something Else” as “Something Different”… Looks like a mistake, or maybe that was the original name before they decided to change it into Something Else.
February 11, 2017 | Comments Off on BREAKING NEWS: “Why” is the new The Cranberries single! (well, probably) | by Jury | The Cranberries
Yesterday The Cranberries did a press conference before their first show in Cancún, Mexico. During that press conference, Dolores O’Riordan revealed interesting information!
According to Dolores, the first single from the upcoming acoustic album is going to be called “Why“, and The Cranberries are going to film the video for “Why” in Europe!
So… for many years we had “How”… and now we’ll have “Why”! 😉
IMPORTANT NOTE: the sound quality of press conference video is quite poor, so it’s possible that Dolores’ words were misheard.
Dolores also mentioned that the new photoshoot the Cranberries did in Mexico is going to be used for the album’s sleeve (it’s something we’ve already reported before here).
Yesterday the musician/composer Eric Alexandrakis published on his Facebook account screenshots of what appears to be the Soundcloud pages (yet unabailable) for two songs by Electrons project, La Fine and Spectre. Eric also wrote: “I love these tracks. Coming soon.”
A little reminder for those who forgot (it’s been awhile since we’ve heard any news from Eric)… Electrons is the name of Alexandrakis’ project which includes different musicians from bands like Duran Duran, The Cure, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and others. Dolores O’Riordan recorded her vocals for some of the Electrons’ songs, including La Fine and You Got What You Wanted.
And now it seems we are close to finally hear these tracks!
July 7, 2016 | Comments Off on The Cranberries in Cognac, France: news & photos | by Jury | The Cranberries
The Cranberries will play at Festival Cognac Blues Passions in Cognac, France tonight!
CranberriesWorld team will attend this show tonight and we’ll try to keep you updated. Please check out our social networks accounts for more instant updates from Festival Cognac Blues Passions:
Our Twitter | Our Instagram with photos from the show | Our Periscope (yes, we’ll try our best to periscope maybe the first 2 songs of tonight’s show if internet 3G is not too poor. New videos will be on the left side)
Last few days Noel has been posting new photos on The Cranberries’ new Instagram page. These photos feature Noel, Mike and Ferg in some large spaces with lots of musical instruments, headphones and microphones… as if the boys were recording something! Another photo shows a music sheet of Zombie. Some fans were speculating that these photos were part of a recording session.
As some fans may remember, on February 24th, Dolores told in the interview after the court sentencing that she’s about to release two records, one with D.A.R.K. and the other with… The Chamber Orchestra!
According to the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio website, its “state-of-the-art space has been acoustically modelled to share the properties of the world’s finest concert halls” and it provides “rehearsal and recording facilities for the orchestra.”
So it seems like the pieces of the puzzle are beginning to fall into place: The Cranberries are indeed recording (or rehearsing?) something at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Studio, and so far it looks like something acoustic (lots of acoustic guitars and Fergal’s famous Empty drums on photos). So what is it? An acoustic best of album with orchestrated arrangements? Or just a rehearsal at fancy studio… but why so many microphones? Time will tell!
Anyway, these are very exciting news for The Cranberries fans, and we can’t wait to hear what are you thinking about this in our comments section!
March 17, 2015 | Comments Off on “Zombie” #10 most streamed tracks by Irish artists of all time | by Jury | The Cranberries
The popular streaming platform Spotify has shared its list of the top 20 most streamed tracks by Irish artists of alltime to mark the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
“Zombie” is #10
“Take Me To Church” by Hozier tops the chart while The Script are in second place with their song “Hall of Fame”. U2 have five tracks in the list, and Sinead O’Connor’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U” is #20.
Composer/producer Eric Alexandrakis continues to tease Dolores’ fans with new exciting bits of information about their collaboration. And it seems like this collaboration has an official title now: “Electrons featuring Dolores O’Riordan” Electrons is the name of Alexandrakis’ project which includes different musicians from bands like Duran Duran, The Cure, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and others.
A few weeks ago we reported about the new song “You Got What You Wanted”. Today there’s more information about this track:
The song is written and recorded by Eric Alexandrakis, Perry Bamonte (The Cure; lead guitar?), Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers; drums), Dolores O’ Riordan (The Cranberries; vocal) and Andy Rourke (The Smiths; bass guitar).
As you can see, Andy Rourke from Dolores’ new band, Jetlag NYC, has joined the Electrons, too. The lyrics for “You Got What You Wanted” were written by Dolores O’Riordan and, according to the title, it may refer to the recent events in her life.
Yesterday Eric Alexandrakis has posted a new exciting photo on Facebook with the comment “Betcha wish you had one of these.“
Probably just a vinyl made to one copy or maybe just a photoshop montage of a record that does not really exist yet and we can only ponder how many songs the A-Side and B-Side of this vinyl have.
And there’s a clue as one of our readers, Mimi, posted a few days ago the following information regarding Dolores’ work with Electrons:
“They have quite a few tracks together: “Redemption” “Robophobic Redemption” (by far the most amazing sounding thing Dolores has ever been on) “Purple Heart Redemption” (very clubby) “Trust” (a.k.a. “La Fine”) “You Got What You Wanted” (haven’t heard it yet) and more coming from what I hear.“
So… are we gonna have an ALBUM full of Dolores’ songs with Electrons?
Time will tell, or let’s just wait another hint from Mr. Alexandrakis 😉
Composer, songwriter and producer Eric Alexandrakis who collaborated with Dolores few months ago has posted on Facebook a short clip of him playing guitar intro to some mysterious song.
https://www.facebook.com/ERICSGALEXANDRAKIS/videos/10152395296546666/ “Some of you may have read about this tune in the Irish press” wrote Eric
Attentive CranFans may remember that Irish press indeed reported about “La Fine” a new song recorded by Dolores and Eric. So this short clip could be a little piece of guitar part of “La Fine” (or not)… we just have to wait and see.
UPDATE #1
One of Eric’s Facebook friends wrote this: “It is! I’m one of Eric’s friends and can attest that it’s La Fine. It’s an amazing track, edgy, dark, killer. Perry Bamonte from The Cure is playing lead guitar, Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers is playing drums, bass player Mark Egan on bass and Eric on everything else!“
UPDATE #2
The forementioned message by Eric’s friend on Facebook was later deleted so we guess this information was a little bit too confidential.
UPDATE #3
CONFIRMED, this is “La Fine”
In the comments on Eric Alexandrakis’ Facebook people kept asking if the video was “La Fine” and Eric replied: “I guess the cat’s out of the bag… yes… this is the tune”
November 12, 2014 | Comments Off on Eoghan McDermott supports Dolores O’ Riordan | by Jury | Dolores O'Riordan
Eoghan McDermott, an Irish television presenter who is hosting “The Voice of Ireland” has expressed his support for Dolores O’ Riordan in an interview entitled “Eoghan McDermott hopes DOR bounces back from air rage arrest – as she’s an awesome person” and published by Goss.ie yesterday.
“I think she is amazing. This morning I heard a reporter on who said an eyewitness said she didn’t deliberately stamp on the foot that she was jumping like going a bit mad” he said.
“It was collateral damage so that was some reporter that spoke to an eyewitness. Wait till it all falls out. And obviously she was taken into hospital so you just wish her well you know that she’s okay.”
“At the same time it’s s**t for the air hostess to have her foot stamped on. I think Dolores is amazing and I will always stick up for her she’s an awesome person.“
“I remember she told us on the show that she moved into a pretty desolate part of Canada just because she liked solitude a bit” he said.
“I don’t know if she gets angsty around people or confined spaces so obviously they felt she needed to go to hospital.”
Eoghan McDermott also told Goss.ie the very first time he met the 43-year-old was an extremely bizarre encounter:
“Literally the first time I met her she was chatting to Bressie and I walked in the room and she was like ‘Lads let’s go, let’s touch a tree”
“She made us go outside and touch a tree just because she wants to be connected with the earth.”
November 10, 2014 | Comments Off on Eric Alexandrakis and Kellie Lewis support Dolores O’ Riordan | by Jury | Dolores O'Riordan
After today’s news about Dolores’ arrest, some of her friends decided to show support for her.
Composer/producer Eric Alexandrakis left this message on Facebook:
I woke up to over 200 mssgs from many of you asking about this story in the news about Dolores O’ Riordan . Here’s my answer…it’s no one’s business. Don’t prejudge, don’t’ gossip, don’t pay attention to those news sites putting up bad action photos in an effort to make celebs look the way they are reporting them to be for reader impact…and just go about your day. Whatever the circumstances are, just be supportive, and as Dolores would say, “focus on love”. EAx
Aspiring young singer Kellie Lewis, Dolores’ protégé on “The Voice of Ireland” twitted:
@DolORiordan You are perfect in my eyes sending all of my love to this gift of a woman
November 10, 2014 | Comments Off on Dolores O’ Riordan released without charge | by Jury | Dolores O'Riordan
Dolores O’ Riordan has been discharged from hospital and released without charge from garda custody following an alleged air rage incident, breakingnews.ie reports in an article entitled “O’Riordan released without charge“.
breakingnews.ie
Earlier this morning Dolores was arrested and detained in a garda station at Shannon airport following the alleged onboard incident on a transatlantic flight. The Cranberries star was later hospitalised in Mid-West Regional Hospital in Limerick and then released into the care of her mother at approximately 3:35 PM today.
In the last few weeks, The Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan and other Irish musicians have been busy in a studio to record “The Pigtown Fling” album to support “The Special Olympics Ireland”. The recording session started in May and finished just two days ago.
Below, some of the photos from the session posted by Noel on Facebook:
According to the article entitled “Limerick lights up as Ireland’s first City of Culture” published on jetsettersblog.com, Noel Hogan will participate to the project “which will tour the city in a music bus throughout 2014 to encourage and support local musicians to create original work (‘Pigtown’ is one of Limerick’s nicknames, referring to the city’s thriving bacon curing industry.)“
As reported previously Dolores O’Riordan is going to help her favorite “The Voice Of Ireland” contestant Kellie Lewis with the recording of her new songs, and now, according to Kellie’s Twitter, we know that Dolores will produce her first EP.
May 28, 2014 | Comments Off on Dolores O’ Riordan to work with Eric Alexandrakis | by Jury | Dolores O'Riordan
Eric Alexandrakis is currently working with Dolores O’ Riordan on some new music according to his Facebook new post:
It is still unknown what kind of collaboration will take place between Dolores and Eric. Iis he producing? Is he co-writing new songs? Time will tell…
Eric Alexandrakis is a Greek singer/songwriter/composer/producer living in Miami, FL. According to his bio, he is best known for incorporating “a brand new technology invented by his long time friend, inventor Scott Moskowitz; that technology was digital watermarking […] which is now used by every company in the world that uses any form of digital exchange, from record labels, to film studios, to banks and more“.
Eric Alexandrakis
Eric also worked with Duran Duran’s John Taylor as well as William Shatner, John Malkovich, David Lynch and others. His official bio says that “he recently formed a composing collective, Electrons, which includes collaborations with the likes of Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Anthony Resta (Collective Soul, Blondie, Scissor Sisters), Roger O’Donnell (The Cure) and Warren Cuccurullo (Missing Persons, Duran Duran), and various others“.
Eric had two Top-20 songs in the Adult Contemporary charts, “Stealing Christmas” and “Hear Comes the Snow!” both still available on digital platforms like iTunes.

According to a new interview with Kellie Lewis entitled “Kellie and Dolores to work together” published yesterday by the Limerick Leader, Dolores wants to help her favorite “The Voice of Ireland” contestant with the recording of her debut EP.
Dolores now wants to work with me on my original music. That wouldn’t have been possible if I had won, so I am really happy I feel free at the moment. I feel really lucky. The be-all and end-all was getting to work with Dolores so now getting to work with her even further, after the show has finished, is my dream come true.
Kellie Lewis of Team Dolores took second place in “The Voice of Ireland” final, losing out on the top spot to Brendan McCahey from Team Bressie.
March 22, 2014 | Comments Off on Noel’s collaboration with “Zerova”… and other Noel news | by Jury | Mono Band
As reported in January, a few years ago Noel played guitar as a “guest guitarist” on a track by Polish band Zerova. As it turns out, the track is actually called “Józiu”. It is the first single from Zerova’s album “Gombrowicz” which is going to be released this month.
Noel Hogan is credited as
Zerova – “Gombrowicz” CD
Guitar credit for Józiu goes to: Noel Hogan/The Cranberries
Watch full video below:
Zerova – “Józiu”
Also, it looks like Noel is still working on solo project(s). This is what he posted on Tumblr on March 18th:
Last week It was a busy week, some of the new tracks came back from the vocalists. Really sounding great. Went to LIT [Limerick Institute of Technology] for and gave a short lecture on Writing/recording. New tracks for the City Of Culture album have been coming in, some very interesting stuff.
March 15, 2014 | Comments Off on “The Voice of Ireland” – Team Dolores Battles: Recap | by Jury | The Voice of Ireland
The Battle stage of “The Voice of Ireland” is over so here’s a recap of #TeamDolores performances!
The 1st battle was Nella Dwyer Vs. John Hogan Jr. performing “Losing My Religion” by R.E.M.
Dolores chose John thanks to his quirky and passionate performance. Unfortunately no other coaches “stole” Nella in spite of her beautiful interpretation and unusual tone.
1st battle: Nella Dwyer Vs. John Hogan Jr
The 2nd battle was a three way battle between Peter Whitford, Anna O’ Hanlon and Thomas Kinney singing “Breakeven” by The Script. This was a very awkward and strange performance (to say the least) as other coaches noted, and Dolores chose Peter even though he had a laryngitis. Anyway, kudos to Anna and Thomas for trying their best singing this quite difficult song!
2nd battle: Peter Whitford Vs. Anna O’ Hanlon Vs. Thomas Kinney
Then a steal happened…
Impressed by her performance of Foo Fighters’ “My Hero”, Dolores stole Emma Walsh from Team Bressie.
Dolores stole Emma Walsh from Team Bressie
The 3rd battle was Sean Sunderland Vs. Mariah Butler performing “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day. It was a very powerful and well-rehearsed performance. After some consideration, Dolores decided to go with Mariah who has a really powerful and beautiful voice.
3rd battle: Sean Sunderland Vs. Mariah Butler
The 4th battle was Michelle Revins Vs. Jamie Stanton performing Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” and… there was standing ovation at the end! Even though both guys performed so well and passionate, Dolores decided to take Michelle because she was the only person to make her cry during her first performance at the Blind Auditions. But good things happened to Jamie, too: he was stolen by Bressie!
4th battle: Michelle Revins Vs. Jamie Stanton
The last and 5th battle featured Kellie Lewis Vs. Pauric McLoughlin performing “True Colours” by Cyndi Lauper. Other coaches noted that the song choice was more suitable for the vocals of Kellie thus making Pauric a little bit uncomfortable singing this “girlish” song. Dolores chose Kellie, but Pauric – thanks to his impressive performance at the Blind Auditions! – was stolen by Kian.
5th battle: Kellie Lewis Vs. Pauric McLoughlin
The Live shows of “The Voice of Ireland” begin this Sunday! Team Dolores has now 6 contestants:
Mariah Butler
Michelle Revins
Kellie Lewis
John Hogan Jr.
Peter Whitford
Emma Walsh (stolen from Team Bressie)
The first Live show this Sunday will feature Kellie Lewis, Michelle Revins and John Hogan Jr. from Team Dolores as well as other great contestants from other teams. Good luck, guys!
March 15, 2014 | Comments Off on “Zombie” is back on the US iTunes charts | by Jury | The Cranberries
The biggest Cranberries hit, “Zombie”, is back on the iTunes charts… thanks to the US version of the popular talent show “The Voice”.
On the March 3 episode of “The Voice”, one of the contestants, Clarissa Serna, performed “Zombie” during the Blind Auditions.
According to the article entitled “The Voice recap: Clarissa Serna wows with Zombie performance” published by HollywoodLife.com, she “prompted an elusive four-chair turn with her haunting, original take on The Cranberries’ Zombie. Clarissa definitely made a bold song choice — and her risk paid off! Adam [Levine] said her deliciously ’90s performance made him nostalgic and it appeared he wasn’t the only one. Each one of the judges wanted Clarissa on their team, but she ultimately decided to go with her “Latina soul sister” Shakira“.
hollywoodlife.com
As a result, Clarissa Serna’s performance put “Zombie” back on the iTunes charts, with the peak of #33 according to our reader Ben. (Huge thanks to Ben for the heads up!) An article entitled “The Voice’s Clarissa Serna drives iTunes sales for Zombie” published on Headlineplanet.com is talking about that:

It’s impossible to watch Clarissa’s performance at “The Voice” as all videos uploaded on the internet are immediately removed for copyright reasons but you can listen to her studio version below:
According to a new message on Facebook, Noel Hogan played guitar as special guest a few years ago (on October 10, 2012, to be more specific) on a track called “Gombrowicz” by Polish band “Zerova”.

January 1, 2014 | Comments Off on Dolores in Limerick: interviews and rehearsal | by Jury | Dolores O'Riordan

December 4, 2013 | Comments Off on An old demo recording from Noel Hogan surfaces | by Jury | Mono Band
Guitarist Noel Hogan has shared his old demo recording from 2006: a song called “Roads”.
You can listen to it on Noel Hogan Production’s Soundcloud by clicking this link. (link no longer available)
The song has vocals from a long-time Noel’s collaborator, Richard Walters, and most likely was recorded for the Arkitekt project which started to take shape at that time.
It remains unclear whether this song will see the light of day or not.
November 11, 2013 | Comments Off on Dolores praised for her courage | by Jury | Other News
A new article today by the Irish Independent featuring an interview with Ellen O’ Malley-Dunlop (CEO of the Irish Rape Crisis Centre) praising Dolores O’ Riordan for her “tremendous courage” in speaking out about the childhood sexual abuse she suffered. Ms Malley-Dunlop thinks that Dolores’ admission would inspire countless victims to seek help around the country.
I think she’s shown tremendous courage and great generosity in speaking out, because when people like her talk about the terrible trauma inflicted upon them, it encourages others to come forward.
It is one of the most horrific crimes in our society and all the things Dolores said – like feeling ashamed, the aftermath of the trauma on her life, the lack of self-worth, the anorexia and the suicidal thoughts – they are all common feelings.
They are feelings that people have who have not been able to talk about the awful experiences they endured and it is never, ever the victim’s fault, particularly a child victim who is groomed.
October 30, 2013 | Comments Off on Matt Vaughan to work on Noel’s new EP | by Jury | Mono Band
As reported before, The Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan is working on a new EP, most likely the new Mono Band EP. And according to his latest Tumblr post below, one of the tracks is going to be produced by an old friend.
Mr. Vaughan working on a new track for me.
This is part of the new ep, more soon.
“Mr. Vaughan” is obviously Matt Vaughan, producer and programmer who briefly worked on The Cranberries’ 6th album demos in 2003. He also worked with Dolores O’ Riordan and Noel Hogan on their first solo demos in 2003-2005.
All in all, this means that Mr. Vaughan is no stranger to the Cranberries world so we can expect some really exciting material from the new Mono Band EP.
October 26, 2013 | Comments Off on Noel working on a film soundtrack | by Jury | Noel Hogan
It seems like we all need some break from yesterday’s shocking news from The Cranberries camp, so here’s some good news: apparently The Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan is working on a film soundtrack. At least, that’s what he wrote in his Tumblr post a few days ago: “New Work. Film soundtrack.”
Sounds pretty mysterious. We don’t know the film title yet, but as soon as we do we’ll let you know.
October 16, 2013 | Comments Off on New EP from Mono Band (?) | by Jury | Mono Band
According to the new message posted by Noel Hogan on Tumblr on October 11th, The Cranberries guitaris is working on a new (Mono Band?) EP.
“1st ep track almost done.”
Last June Noel revealed demo samples of new songs recorded with Fin Chambers, “Waking Up All Over” and “Start & Scars.” It remains unclear whether these songs will be featured on this upcoming EP or not.
To be continued…
June 16, 2013 | Comments Off on Demo samples of the new Mono Band songs | by Jury | Mono Band
Noel Hogan made available demo samples of the new Mono Band songs recorded with Fin Chambers in May. Demos are called “Waking Up All Over” and “Start & Scars”.
Check them out on Noel’s Soundcloud page:
According to a very intriguing promo CD that has surfaced on eBay, The Cranberries’ song “Raining In My Heart” might have a chance to be featured on some TV shows or movies.
The promo CD is called “Music Alternatives January 2013” and it features songs from various artists including The Cranberries. The CD is released by Music Alternatives and, according to the company’s website (musicalternatives.com), it specializes in “placing their artists’ music in film, television, commercials, video games, trailers, soundtracks and special markets.“
“Music Alternatives January 2013” promo CD includes “Raining In My Heart”
Songs from Music Alternatives’ artists were placed in many popular TV shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Criminal Minds”, “Supernatural”, “Castle”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “Bones” and many many more….
“Raining In My Heart” was the second promo single from “Roses” in some countries, so who knows, maybe Cooking Vinyl didn’t give up on a promotion of the latest album? Placing new songs in popular TV shows is quite a common practice. For example, The Cranberries’ songs “Analyse” and “Never Grow Old” were placed in “Smallville” and “Alias”.
Maybe in few weeks we’ll hear “Raining In My Heart” in some TV show or commercials?
It looks like some of the local labels distributing The Cranberries’ new album didn’t give up on a promotion of “Roses” in some regions. Ten months after the album release, “Fire & Soul” becomes the third promo single in Russia.
According to TopHitRu.com (a website that officially provides new promo singles for Russian radio stations and aggregates an information about the rotation of every single on Russian radios), “Fire & Soul” was made available for broadcasting on Russian radio stations on December 5, 2012. Since then it was played on 32 stations (for example, “Tomorow” was played on 44 stations). Full statistics of the track’s rotation is available here. (link no longer available)
Two previous promo singles from “Roses” released in Russia (Tomorrow and Show Me) were aimed for the rock radio stations, but never got much attention. Unlike them, “Fire & Soul” is aimed for the radios playing in CHR format (Contemporary Hit Radio) which means that, maybe, the local distributor is trying to showcase a different side of The Cranberries’ talent.
“Roses” is distributed by Soyuz Music in Russia. The album peaked at #24 on the Russian charts.
“Fire & Soul” joins other songs from “Roses” released as promo singles in different regions. Last spring “Raining In MyHeart” was chosen as the second single in Italy and Ireland (and maybe other countries?) and “Waiting In Walthamstow” was released as promo single in the United Kingdom last summer. “Show Me” also got some airplay in the United States, Greece, Poland and Russia. And, of course, “Tomorrow” was the first official single released in many countries all over the world.
If you’ve heard The Cranberries’ songs from “Roses” in your country, let us know in the comments!
Just like the “Live in Paris 2010”, the London show will get a wide commercial CD release. Originally the show which took place at The Hammersmith Appolo on October 2, 2012 was available for order only on the Concert Live website as a special limited CD-set release. In December 2012 the show got a digital release and was made available for download on iTunes and other digital music stores.
London Live 2012 re-release
You can pre-order the “Live 2012” CD-set re-release for £12.84 on Amazon.co.uk or other retailers.
Release date: March 5, 2013
The official site of the Concerto Di Natale just confirmed Dolores’ participation in the Italian Christmas Concert next December as reported before. The annual concert will take place on December 15th at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Roma and is to be broadcast on Rai 2 TV on Christmas night.
According to Noel’s latest interview for uaudio.com, the band wants to take its time when it comes to recording another album.
I’m not saying we want to spend another ten years writing, but we definitely don’t want to rush it. I’d rather not do that again and just take our time. Quality over quantity, you know? If it means it does take a bit longer than we should, I don’t think it’s a bad thing if you have a great result from it.
Noel is currently writing new songs for the band.
I started writing again around the beginning of this year. I actually find it easier to write when I’m traveling. On your days off you’re sitting around a hotel room anyway so it gives you something to do. I started sending stuff to Dolores around January and I’ve been writing bits and pieces.
Another Mono Band album.
There are some songs I feel aren’t really the Cranberries’ sound, so I decided I’m going to try and maybe do another Mono Band album at the same time. I’m going to try and do both, but I want to take my time doing it.
Noel also told some stories about the band’s early years and revealed lots of technical information about the way he records his songs nowadays, so if you like these kind of details read the full version of the interview.
Bella Ferraro, an aspiring singer from the Australian version of the TV show The X Factor, covered The Cranberries’ classic hit “Dreams” during the last show on November 5th.
The theme of the last week’s competition was Judges’ Challenge and the song “Dreams” was chosen by Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls fame.
Bella Ferraro performing “Dreams”
According to the young singer, she grew up singing The Cranberries songs. Apparently, the judges loved her performance.
It’s interesting to mention that Ronan Keating, one of the judges and an Irishman himself, said some nice things about the song: “I love that song. I don’t know if people realize this but that is so tough to sing. That is such a tough song. Dolores is an amazing vocalist. Great Irish band, actually. Good song choice, well done!”

Great news for the fans: The Cranberries Official Community site reopened today.
Both the band’s and Dolores’ fan communities closed in June and, according to a spokeperson from the band team, The Cranberries originally planned to use their Facebook page for communication with fans. But it seems like the band members or their management changed their mind and now fans can communicate with each other again using the good old way. Will it last forever… time will tell.
It should be noted that Dolores’ fan community remains closed.
